みなさん、クリス・ヒーローのインタビューのためのご質問をお送りいただきありがとうございました！5月14日にノアのイギリス遠征の中盤にインタビューを収録しました。Youtubeの映像の右下のCCというボタンをクリックしていただくと日本語の字幕が表示されます。質問がたくさん集まりすぎてすべて聞くことができなかったことを心よりお詫びいたします。「レスリングギアに星をよく使っているのはなぜか？」（星型が好きだからだそうです）とか「彼女や奥さんはいるのか？」（どちらもいないそうです。）、「好きな音楽は何か」（ヒップホップだそうです）など他にも収録し切れなかった面白いご質問をたくさんいただきました。収録したインタビューでは主に日本のことと、プロレスのことについて聞いています。ご感想をいただけたら大変うれしく思います。ハイデフィニションなので、Youtubeで直接ご覧になっていただいた方がよいかと思います。

新潟での試合の話からはじめようと思いましたが、それより前に、今すぐお伝えしたいのは「ありがとう」ということです。今回もまた、プロレスリング・ノアの忘れられない、思い出深いツアーとなりました。今、成田空港のホテルでこの2週間半を振り返っています。

今回のツアーは、来日した週に親友のラリー・スウィーニーを亡くすという信じられない形ではじまりました。さまざまな意味で、彼がもういないということはいまだに信じられません。彼の死後、腕のテーピングに彼の名前を書いてすべての試合を闘いました。そして、彼のことを少しでも考えない日はありませんでした。自己中心的かもしれませんが、失った人のことをただ悲しむよりも、友人として、人間として彼に会えたことに感謝することにしました。彼が短い一生を通して出会った僕や、その他大勢の人たちを通して彼の魂は生き続けます。試合をして、悲しみから乗り越える機会を与えてくれたファンのみんな、ありがとうございました。僕にとって、これは三沢さんが亡くなった時と似ています。プロレスは続いていきます。悲しみを乗り越えるには僕たちのエネルギーをプロレスに注ぐことです。ツアーを終えて、ずっと気持ちが楽になりました。

新潟はいい会場でした。リングに直接つながる花道がありました。これはアメリカのファンにとっては日本のプロレスの象徴です。僕たちの相手は斉藤・秋山組でした。クラウディオと僕は全力を尽くして次から次へと合体技を繰り出しました。秋山選手は今コンディションもよく、世界でもっとも優れたレスラーの一人です。斉藤選手はものすごく強く、彼の延髄斬りは僕が直に受けた中でもっとも衝撃のある技のひとつです。（衝撃のため記憶がかろうじて残っているだけです。）この試合ではあばらに更なるダメージは受けませんでしたが、何日間か休まない限り怪我は治らなさそうでした。今回も勝ちにかなり近づきましたが、斉藤選手が強烈な延髄斬りをクラウディオに浴びせたすぐ後、秋山選手がリストクラッチエクプロイダーでクラウディオの頭を叩きつけました。キングスオブレスリングは新潟では敗れてしまいました。

翌日は東京への長いバスの旅でした。午後には少し買い物をしました。風が異常に強い日でした。その日アメリカでは竜巻がたくさん起こっいました。すべてはつながっているのだ、ということを思い起こさせました。風は強かったけど、天気はよかったので、散歩をしてすばらしい気持ちになりました。オニツカタイガーの店でかっこいいシャツを何枚か買い、あの有名なリベラステーキハウスで晩ご飯のため集まりました。ミラノコレクションATと僕が2007年に訪れた時の写真が店内の壁に飾られていてびっくりしました。この店を訪れるたびに、ゆっくりと全部のレスラーの写真を眺めなくなります。いつも二枚の写真が僕の目に飛び込んできます。ひとつはエディー・ゲレロとクリス・ベノワの写真で、もうひとつはオーウェン・ハートとマイク・タイソンの写真です。なんとも、素敵な歴史の一場面です。クラウディオ、バイソンと僕は「曙ステーキ」を食べました。おいしかった！

翌日、後楽園での最終戦に出場するため朝9時にホテルを出発しました。第一試合はオーストラリアからのガイジン、マイキー・ニコルス対シェイン・ヘイストでした。二人と今回のツアーに一緒に参加できてよかったです。二人とも大変才能のあるレスラーです。この試合を見ることはできませんでしたが、いつか映像で見られるのを楽しみにしています。

クラウディオと僕は、谷口周平、潮崎豪組に対戦する時点で5位だったので、すでに優勝戦線から離脱していました。前にもいったとおり、僕が日本で最初に評価を上げたと思う試合は2009年夏の後楽園での潮崎戦です。僕と潮崎のリング上での噛み合いが今回もリング上で発揮されました。前回の後楽園でGHCタッグ王者の佐野、高山組とのノンタイトル戦で勝った勢いをKOWは使っていくつもりでした。試合序盤に僕たちは攻撃を受け、相手はすばやく僕に攻勢を仕掛けてきました。僕は今回もあばらの周りにテーピングをしていましたが、これは敵の攻撃の的になってしまいました。何とか耐え抜いたところ、しばらくして、僕が今まで見た中で一番すばらしい助走付きのブレーンバスターをクラウディオが豪にかけました。これはすごかった！両軍が入り乱れたところ、僕はノーハンドのムーンサルト式トペコン「ヒーロー」を決めました。僕たちの合体技KRS-1はカットされましたが、相手の丸め込みはうまく返せました。この丸め込みで試合が終わってもおかしくなかった。潮崎のチョップで僕の胸は流血寸前でした。（いまだにチョップの後が胸に残っています。）痛みと闘い、ローリングチョップと連続のラリアットにも屈しませんでした。なぜあれを返せたのか自分でも分からない。しかし、豪は変型豪フラッシャーで僕を投げました。また負けてしまった。でも、少なくとも全力を尽くしました。後楽園ホールのファンの応援がアドレナリンを引き起こし、試合後立ち上がる力をくれました。相手は握手を求めてきました。今回の試合を含めて後楽園でこれまで10度ほど闘ってきましたが、ファンが僕たちを受け入れてくれたことと、試合の内容を考えると、後楽園ホールは今や僕の日本のホームグラウンドだといえると思えます！ROHの常設会場のニューヨークのマンハッタンセンターや、PWGの常設会場のレセダビルディング、そしてドイツのwXwが使う会場などと並ぶ、僕のホームです。すぐにでも後楽園に戻ってきたい！

メインイベントは斉藤・秋山組の勝利で終わりました。試合終盤はものすごい攻防でした。優勝トロフィーが授与される中、リング上でのセレモニーに向かいました。すると、僕たちの名前が呼ばれ、観衆の大声援が上がりました。去年と同様、僕たちに賞が与えられるとは前もって知らされていませんでした。クラウディオと僕、キングスオブレスリングはグローバルタッグの敢闘賞をいただいたのです。本当に名誉なことです。

ツアーを振り返って、二つのことが印象に残ります。まず最初に、タッグチームのパートナーは本当に大事なものだということです。軽症とはいえ怪我を負った状態で僕はほとんどの試合を闘いました。その中でクラウディオはいつも助けてくれました。もしクラウディオが頼れるパートナーでなかったら、このツアーで一勝もできなかったでしょう。いくらそれぞれのレスラーが優秀でも、タッグとして優秀でなければ試合に勝てません。忠実でいつも全力を尽くす（そしてパワフルな！）パートナー、クラウディオ・カスタニョーリに感謝します。これからもタッグとしてもっともっと強くなっていきます。

次に、負けは重なりましたが、僕たちの試合はファンみなさんに受け入れられてきました。このことは、たとえ最初の目標を達成できなくても、失敗の中に隠された成功があるかもしれない、ということを教えてくれます。過去にさかのぼって負けた試合を勝ちに変えることはできませんが、負けた試合を振り返って、その中に、よかったことを見つけることはできます。これが、再挑戦し、さらに努力する励みになります。タッグとしてノアのメインイベントを飾れたことを誇りに思います。僕たちは世界最高峰のレスラーたちに匹敵することを証明できたし、今後ももっとトレーニングし、もっと強くなるのみです。みんなの絶え間ない応援は自信になります。ありがとう！

試合の後、僕たちのグッズを楽しく販売しました。たくさんのやさしいファンに出会い、中にはおみやげまでくれた方もありました！しばらくして、僕たちはアメリカから持ってきた紫のキングスオブレスリングのTシャツを全部売りつくしました。みんなからの、本当にものすごいサポートです。僕たちはみんなと写真を撮ったり、サインをしたり、おしゃべりをしたりするのがいつも大好きです。最初の頃のツアーでは日本のファンはシャイで僕たちに英語で話すのをすこし恥ずかしがっていました。でも、成功したツアーを何度も経た今、ファンのみんなは僕たちがどれだけ日本を愛し、日本について知ろうとしているか分かってくれます。日本に続けて来ることを望んでいます。そして、僕たちはより強くなります！もし僕たちを大会で見かけたら、声をかけてください。ありがとうございます。

今、成田からダラスのフォートワース空港に向けて飛行中です。今週末、クラウディオと僕はミシガン州のディアボーンでアメリカンウルブズ（デイビー・リチャーズ、エディー・エドワーズ組）と対戦します。その翌日はエディー・エドワーズのROH世界タイトルに挑戦します。両方の試合を楽しみにしています。その次の週末にはイギリスに行きます。イギリスで僕たちがタッグで戦うのは初めてです。ノアのイギリス大会で、谷口・塩崎組と1日目に闘い、翌日は青木・森嶋組と戦います。丸藤選手は怪我で行けなくなったので、急遽森嶋選手が行くことになりました。翌日ドイツに飛び、NOAHとwXwの大会に出場します。クラウディオはGHCヘビー級王者の杉浦選手、僕はKENTA選手と闘います。すべて激しい試合となるでしょう。ツイッターで試合の結果をお知らせします！

最後に、ノアのオフィスのみなさん、レスラーの仲間たち、そしてファンのみなさんにお礼を申し上げます。日本にはすぐにでも戻ってきたい。また次回まで！！

I know that I should probably start with the Niigata City event but the first thing that comes to mind right now is Thank You. It has been another unforgettable tour for Pro-Wrestling NOAH and I sit, now at my hotel by Narita Airport, reflecting on the last 2 1/2 weeks.

The tour started in a surreal fashion as I had just lost my close friend, Larry Sweeney, the week of my flight. In many ways it is still hard to believe that he is gone. I've written his name on my wrist tape every match since and there hasn't been a day where has hasn't crossed my mind if only for a brief second. Instead of being sad, selfishly, for my/our loss, I choose to be thankful that I got to know him as a person and as a friend. His spirit will live on through me as well as the many other people he touched throughout his way-too-short-life. Thank you to the fans for giving me the opportunity to perform for you and take my mind off of it. It is somewhat similar to the Misawa situation, to me. The show will go on and our way of coping is to channel our energy into our performances. I feel so much better now after this tour.

The Arena in Niigata was very nice. There was a ramp leading directly to the ring which, to American fans, is a symbol of Japanese Wrestling. Our opponents were Saito and Akiyama. Claudio and I performed to the best of our abilities, connecting with a flurry of "joint maneuvers." Akiyama is now healthy and is one of the best wrestlers in the world. Saito is incredibly strong and his enzuigiri is one of the most deadly I've personally felt. From what I remember that is, hah. My ribs did not sustain much more damage in this match but until I get more than a few days to rest, the injury will persist. Once again we were very close but Akiyama hoisted Claudio over his head with the wrist clutch exploder immediately after the aforementioned deadly enzui. Kings of Wrestling, unsuccessful in

The following day, we had a longer bus ride on the way back to Tokyo. In the evening I did a bit of shopping. It was incredibly windy. Back in the US there are a lot of tornadoes and it's just a reminder to me of how everything is connected. While the breeze was strong, the weather was lovely so it felt amazing to walk around in such weather. I found a few cool shirts at Onitsuka Tiger and we gathered for dinner at the famous Ribera Steakhouse. I was surprised to find a picture of myself on the wall from the time I visited with Milano Collection AT in 2007. Every time I visit, I want to take my time and look at all the photos. Two particular photos always stand out to me. The first being a shot with Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit and the second with Owen Hart and Mike Tyson. It's such a wonderful little piece of history. Claudio, Bison & I had three "Akebono" steaks.
Delicious!

The next day we left the hotel at 9 to get to Korakuen for the final match of the tour. The opening match was between the two Australian gaijin: Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste. They were both a pleasure to travel with on this tour and both are exceptionally talented. I did not get to watch the match live but I look forward to seeing it eventually.

Claudio and I were out 5th as we took on Shuhei Taniguchi and Go Shiozaki. Like I said before, I feel that my "break out" match in Japan was against Shiozaki at Korakuen in the summer of 2009. Our in-ring chemistry was once again on display and the Kings of Wrestling were hoping to build off of our momentum from the previous Korakuen show where we defeated the GHC champions Sano & Takayama in a non-title match. To start the match, we were attacked and quickly our opponents took over on me. I had my ribs taped again but this only served as a target for our opponents. I battled through and soon Claudio was holding Go over his head in THE most impressing running vertical suplex I've ever witnessed. Amazing! Our double teams connected and I even managed to perform my no hands Moonsault dive (Tope con Hero) onto both opponents. Our attempt at the KRS-1 was countered but we survived a cradle pin that could have ended the match. My chest was nearly bloody from all of Shiozaki's chops (and still today, many hand prints remain). I fought through my pain and kicked out of a rolling chop and a pair of Lariats (still not sure how I did that). Go lifted me for a modified back suplex/face plant. Another loss. At least we know we fought our hardest. The adrenaline from the crowd reactions in Korakuen helped me climb to my feet as our opponents shook our hands with respect. I've now wrestled at Korakuen Hall around 10 times and from the reception that we get,combined with the quality of matches, I feel that I can call Korakuen Hall my Japanese home! It is up there with the Manhattan Center in New York City, the Reseda building for PWG and wherever wXw in Germany chooses to run shows as my favorite venues to perform in. I can't wait to return!

The main event was won by Saito & Akiyama. The ending sequence was incredible. We made our way to the ring for the celebration as the trophies were handed out. They announced our names to a loud ovation from the crowd. Much like last year, we were unaware what we were receiving but as it turns our, Claudio & myself, the Kings of Wrestling, we awarded the Kanto-sho or Fighting Spirit award for the Global Tag League. What an honor.

Reflecting on this tour, there are two things that come to my mind. First, you can never underestimate the importance of a great tag team partner. I fought the majority of our matches with a small injury but Claudio was always there to assist. Had he not been reliable, we wouldn't have won any matches this tour. It doesn't matter how talented each performer is individually, if they do not perform equally as a team, they will not win. I am thankful to have such a loyal and hard working (and powerful!) partner in Claudio Castagnoli. We will only improve as a team.

Secondly, even with a losing record, our matches were appreciated by the fans. It shows that even if you do not achieve your immediate goal, there still may be success that is disguised by failure. I cannot go back and win the matches that we lost but I can look back at each situation and find the good. This will motivate me to try again and try harder next time. We proved, as a team, that we can successfully headline NOAH shows. We've shown that we can hold our own with the best of the best and we will only work harder and improve. The continued support just makes us more determined, so again, thank you!

We were happy to sell our merchandise again after the show. We encountered many gracious fans and even received a few gifts! After a few moments we had completely sold out of the purple Kings of Wrestling shirts we'd brought for the tour. Incredible support from all of you. We were happy, as we always are, to take pictures, sign autographs and even have a short chat with our fans. My first few tours, the Japanese fans were shy and a bit embarrassed to try to speak to us in English. Now, after a few successful tours, the fans can see how much we love Japan and try to learn about their country. We hope to continue our tours and our matches will only get better! If you ever see us at a show, please take a moment to say hello. We appreciate it.

Right now I am flying from Narita to Dallas-Fort Worth. This coming weekend Claudio and I will travel to Dearborn,MI to face the American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards). The next night I will face Eddie Edwards for the ROH World Championship. I am excited for both matches. The next weekend, we travel to the United Kingdom and will team together for the first time in England. Our opponents (as a part of the NOAH UK shows) are Taniguchi & Shiozaki one night, then we face Aoki and (replacing the injured Marufuji) Morishima. Then we fly to Germany for the wXw/NOAH show. Claudio will fight for the GHC heavyweight title (v. Sugiura) and I will face KENTA. All of the matches should be intense. Stay tuned to my Twitter and I will keep you informed with the results!

北海道初進出、オフ

今回が僕にとってのノアでの8度目の来日です。これまでのほとんどが11月から2月の冬の滞在でした。唯一の例外として2009年の夏のツアーがありました。そのため、何度も訪れた街もありますが、これまで訪れたことのない街もあります。北海道の札幌は今回初めて訪れました。本州から北海道まで渡る苦痛なほど長いフェリーがあると聞いていました。今回、北海道で大会があると聞き、ついに噂に聞いたフェリーの旅に出られることを実は楽しみにしていました。しかし、計画の変更やスケジュールの都合もあって、飛行機で行くことになりました。おかげで、移動時間も短くなり、試合もしやすくなりました。というわけで、ものすごく長い船旅の文句はここに書く必要がなくなりました！

テイセンホールでの連戦第一日目はクラウディオと僕で再びグローバルタッグリーグの試合をしました。対戦相手はガイジンレスラーとしての仲間、バイソン・スミスと、彼の新たな相棒、井上雅央（マーサーオー！）でした。井上とミスター・スミスというコンビは一見おもしろおかしいタッグに見えるかもしれません。観衆もマサオサンのしゃべりや動きを笑いながら楽しんでいます。これにバイソン・スミスのような怪力レスラーが加わると面白さが増します。しかし、実際にはこういう見くびられやすいタッグが危険なんです。マサオはものすごい耐性があります！彼は数年前に足に重傷を負いました。僕は彼が怪我から回復するのにどれほど激しいトレーニングをしたか間近にに見ています。マサオが相手の激しい攻撃に耐えている間、バイソンはエプロンでパワーを蓄積し、リングに入ると試合の流れをがらりと変えることができます。幸いにも僕のあばらの状態はよくなってきていたので、この試合ではテーピングをしませんでした。テーピングをしないと敵に怪我を狙われにくくなるし、自分への自信にもなると思いました。

試合の前半はいつもどおり、クラウディオと僕が攻めました。しかし、バイソンがリングに入ると、僕たちの動きを止めるのに成功しました。クラウディオはすばらしいチョークスラムをバイソンにかけ、マサオを孤立させるとKOWの合体技をいくつも浴びせました。マサオはすべての技を食らいましたが、バイソンにはまだ余力があって、フォールをすべてカットしてきました。バイソンを弾き飛ばすと僕たちはロイヤルTKO（またはロヤルティーKO）の準備をしました。クラウディオはものすごい勢いでマサオを僕に向かって跳ね飛ばしました。マサオは体をうまくかわして僕のエルボーをよけ、僕を回転させて小さくスクールボーイで丸め込みました。僕は0.5秒返すのが遅く、試合に負けてしまいました。なんとくやしいことか。試合の後、カメラマンと一緒のインタビューアーに質問されたので、「健介と宮原を明日倒す」と誓いました。僕たちはタッグチームのスペシャリストだけど、このツアーがはじまってから最初の数日間、敵たちは僕たちの力を抑えるのに成功してきました。これはよくない。

翌日、健介オフィスからの刺客への対策を万端にしてテイセンホールに再び向かいました。宮原がタッグでは狙うべき相手だと分かっていますが、僕たちは健介選手をも恐れていません。クラウディオは宮原を説得力のある技で攻撃し、僕はオフガードで捕まえてキックやエルボーでノックアウト寸前まで追い込みました。しかし、優秀な若手の宮原はすばらしいポテンシャルを幾度も見せました。彼は体も大きいし、僕たちが来日するたびにより大きく、より強くなっています。彼に唯一必要なのは、かつて潮崎選手が2006年から2007年までアメリカに滞在したように、海外で長期間の修行だと僕は思います。試合の中盤では健介がいつものようにチョップやラリアットで僕を追い込みました。僕をロープに投げて、僕の胴体をひざで蹴り上げ、逆一本背負いを決めました。ご想像通り、この攻撃で僕のあばらとお腹の怪我が悪化しました。呼吸をするのが苦しくなり、幸いにもパートナーのクラウディオが助けてくれました。試合は徐々に進みました。クラウディオと僕はローヤリティーKOを健斗に決めましたが、健介がフォールをカットしました。僕はKTFOとパイルドライバーで攻撃を続けました。健斗はそれでも返しました。なぜ返せる？？！彼は少しの反撃をしてきましたが、経験の浅さからかローリングエルボーの餌食となりました。クラウディオがリングに入ってきて、二人でKRS-1を決めました。ワン・ツー・スリー。勝った！買った喜びからアドレナリンが体に走り、痛みが一時的に収まりました。

札幌のファンはびっくりするほど僕たちを応援してくれました。今回が北海道での初の試合でした。普通こういう場合、日本のファンは新しいガイジンレスラーたちを応援すべきかどうか戸惑うものです。でも、うれしいことに札幌のファンは僕たちを受け入れてくれて、一日目の敗戦も二日目の試合に影響されませんでした。KOWのTシャツをたくさん買っていただいて、ファンから温かい言葉をいただきました。クラウディオと僕は北海道にまた戻れることを強く願っています。北海道でもミスタードーナッツを見つけたし！

ちょっとこの場で、僕の大好きなカルピスソーダ風の炭酸飲料、「スコール（Skal）」について語りたいと思います。これはなかなか目にしない飲み物です。大阪や名古屋に行くとたまに目にするので、買える時はいつもうれしいです。日本以外の読者の人たちはスプライトやセブンアップに似ているけれどもっと甘くて、泡っぽいものを想像してください。スコールがいつも売っている所を知っている読者がいたら教えてください！

次の大会まで何日かオフがあったので、クラウディオと僕は日本の女子レスラー、中川ともか選手とディナーに行きました。彼女にはROHのアトランタ大会で栗原あゆみ、松本浩代、両選手と会いました。みんなすばらしいレスラーで、ROHのファンは彼女たちの試合に驚き、感激していました。彼女たちとまたアメリカで会えたらと思います。ディナーの後はバーに行くと、驚いたことに、古い友人、元WMFのソルジャー選手がいました。彼と僕には共通の友人がいて、僕が日本に来る前、そして彼がアメリカに行く前に何度もメールのやり取りをしたものです。アメリカでは数回しか会っていないけれど、日本で何度か食事をすることができました。思いがけない再会で、古い友人と久しぶり話せてよかったです。

別のオフの日にはクラウディオと東京ディズニーランドを訪れました。友人のツカサが連れて行ってくれて楽しい一日を過ごしました。フロリダのディズニーワールドに一度、カリフォルニアのディズニーランドに何度も行ったことがあります。東京ディズニーランドはよく似ていたけれど、ディズニーのキャラクターたちが歩き回ったり乗り物の上で日本語を話しているのが不思議な感じでした。スプラッシュマウンテンに最初に乗りましたが、座席に危うく収まりきらないところでした！僕たちの足がバーの下に納まって安全が確認されるまでしばらく時間がかかりました。足を組むときつい状態で、ひざが前の人の席を押し付けるようでした。幸い乗り物から落っこちることはありませんでした。スペースマウンテンに乗るときになると、スタッフが来て、隠れた通路まで連れて行かれました。そこは秘密の部屋で、僕たちが座席のサンプルにはまるかどうかテストする場所でした。大丈夫でした！よかった。東京ディズニーランドではスペースマウンテンが気に入りました。

クラウディオを眺めるのがおかしかったです。子どもみたいにはしゃいで、ディズニーのキャラクター全部に手を振ってパレードの写真を撮っていました。彼はものすごく楽しい時間を過ごしたと思います。僕たちは何枚もふざけた写真を撮りました。

夜にはミスター・デンジャー（松永光弘さん）のステーキハウスで食事を楽しみました。いつもどおり、食事はおいしく、松永さんは親切でした。

今、新潟に向かうノアのバスの中にいます。斉藤、秋山組との試合を楽しみにしています。浅子さんに会って、試合の前にアバラのテーピングをしてもらいます。ツアーはあっという間に進んでしまいます。今週の末にアメリカに戻ります。そして、再び日本をとても恋しく思うことでしょう。みんな、応援と、このブログへのコメントをありがとう。それと、僕のツアーの様子をみんなに伝えるために翻訳してくれているユウジンに感謝します。みんな、ではまた！

This is my eighth tour for NOAH. The majority of my tours have taken place in winter months from November to February. Once exception is a summer tour in 2009. As a result, I have visited the same towns many times and there are some that I've not been to yet. One of those was Sapporo/Hokkaido. I'd always heard of the infamously long ferry rides to the North island. When I discovered that I would be wrestling in Sapporo this tour, I was actually eager to finally be a part of one of these journeys. Plans changed though and because of our schedule it was decided that we would fly instead. That would make this a much quicker trip and thus would make it easier to perform. You won't hear any complaints from me!

On the first day of the two events at Teisen Lanes, Claudio and I would continue in the Global Tag League. Our opponents for the first night were fellow gaijin Bison Smith and his new sidekick Masao Inoue (Ma-Sa-Oh!). On the surface, it would seem that Inoue and Mr. Sumisu would be more of a comedic team. The crowd enjoy laughing in reaction to Masao's in-match comments and mannerisms and this provides an amusing dynamic when you team him with a powerhouse such as Bison Smith. The reality of this is that they are a dangerous team because it's easy to not take them seriously. Masao is incredibly resilient! He had a serious leg injury a few years ago and I personally witnessed how hard he trained to rehabilitate his injury. The amount of punishment he is able to take allows Bison to maintain his energy on the apron and enter the match completely refreshed. Fortunately my ribs were feeling better and I opted not to have them taped for the shows. I think it was better for my confidence and it didn't reveal an easy target for my opponents.

Claudio and I dominated, as we usually do, for the first half of the match. Bison made his way into the ring and he was able to stop both of us. Claudio used an impressive chokeslam on Bison and we isolated Masao for some Kings of Wrestling double team maneuvers. We had him defeated with each maneuver but Bison wasn't worn down enough as he broke up every pin attempt. Once we got rid of Bison, we prepared for the Royal TKO (or the Royalty KO, whichever you prefer). Claudio shot Inoue into me with great momentum. Masao was able to maneuver his body around, ducking my elbow and rolling me up with a tight school boy pinning combination. I kicked out a half second too late and we had lost the match. How frustrating. After the match, an interviewer with a video camera stopped us and we vowed to defeat Kensuke and Miyahara the following evening. We are tag team specialists and, for one reason or another, our opponents since the first few days of this tour have been able to neutralize us. This is unacceptable.

The following day, we returned to Teisen Lanes and were fully prepared for our oppoents from Kensuke Office. We know that Miyahara is the weak link as a tag team but we are not afraid of Sasaki either. Claudio can hit him with impact moves and I'm able to catch him off guard and potentially knock him out with one of my kicks or elbows. Miyahara, though, is a rising star and showed glimpses of great potential. He also has great size and is bigger and stronger every tour I see him. All I think he needs is an extended stay in a foreign country much like Go Shiozaki had in the US in 2006/2007. Midway through the match Kensuke overwhelmed me with one of his typical flurries including chops, forearms and a Lariat. He sent me into the ropes and crushed my midsection with a knee before tossing me over with his Judo takedown. As you can imagine, this aggravated my rib/abdominal injury. I was having difficulties catching my breath sand fortunately my partner was able to carry the load shortly thereafter. The match wore on. Claudio & I connected with the Royalty KO on Kento but Kensuke broke up the pin. I followed with a KTFO and a Piledriver. Kento kicked out (??!). He built momentum with a few cradles but his inexperience led him to run right into a Rolling Elbow. Claudio joined me in the ring and we hit the KRS-1. 1, 2, 3, victory! The pain subsided temporarily as the adrenaline of winning our match took over.

The fans in Sapporo were surprisingly supportive of the two of us. It was our first appearance in the North and when that usually happens, the Japanese fans aren't quite sure what to think of the new type gaijin wrestlers. Thankfully we were well received and the loss on the first night did not affect the response we were rewarded with on the second night. We sold many Kings of Wrestling t-shirts and enjoyed hearing many kind words from the fans. Both Claudio and I are eager to return to Hokkaido. I even found a Mister Donut along the way!

I will take a brief moment here to proclaim my love for the calpis-soda drink called "Skal". It is difficult to find. I usually only see it in Osaka or Nagoya so I'm thrilled when I can purchase a bottle. To my non-Japanese friends, it's similar to Sprite/7up but slightly sweeter and a bit more frothy. If anyone knows where I can find Skal more regularly, please let me know!

We had days off before the tour continued so Claudio and I had dinner with Japanese female wrestler Tomoka Nakagawa. I met her at the ROH shows in Atlanta along with Ayumi Kurihara and Hiroyo Matsumoto. They were all excellent wrestlers and the ROH fans were pleasantly surprised with their performances. I hope to see them back in the US again. After dinner, we attended a bar where, much to my surprise, the attendant was an old friend of mine, Soldier, formerly of WMF. We had mutual friends and had e-mail back and forth before I had come to Japan and before Soldier came to the US. We only met a few times in the US but we've been able to have dinner in Japan a few times. It was a nice surprise and I enjoyed catching up with my old friend.

On our other day off, Claudio and I visited Tokyo Disney. My friend Tsukasa picked us up and we had an excellent time. I'd once been to Disney World in Florida and many times to Disney Land in California. It was very similar but it was strange hearing all the characters (both walking around the park and on the rides) speaking Japanese. We started off with Splash Mountain and nearly did not fit in the seat! It took them a few moments to make sure our legs we completely under the bar and that we were fully secured. It was a tight fit with our legs crossed and our knees pressed against the seat in front of us. Fortunately we did not fall out of the ride. When it came time to Space Mountain, we checked with the staff and were taken down a hidden corridor. We were welcomed into what seemed like a secret room to test whether or not we would fit in a sample car. We fit! I was glad too. Space Mountain was my favorite ride at Tokyo Disney.

It was fun watching Claudio. He was like a child, waving to all the characters and filming the parades. I know he had a great time and we took several silly pictures.

In the evening, we had the pleasure of eating at Mr. Danger's (Matsunaga) Steakhouse. As always, the food was delicious and Mr. Matsunaga was kind.

Currently, I am on the NOAH bus, on our way to Niigata. I look forward to our match with Saito and Akiyama. I will be sure to visit Asako-san and have my ribs taped up for the match. It's crazy how quickly these tours go. I will be home this weekend and, once again, I will miss Japan greatly. Thank you all for your support and comments. バタバタとしたここ数日でした。たくさん書きたいことがあるので、早速はじめましょう。

名古屋の観衆は普段より少なかったです。ZEPPは僕の日本でのお気に入りの会場のひとつです。ここは健介選手と以前シングルで闘った場所でもあります。それから、ダグ・ウィリアムスと組んで三沢、小川組ともここで闘いました。地震の影響でノアはいくつかの大会をキャンセルしなければならず、名古屋の大会はわずか数週間前になって追加されたのです。そのために十分な宣伝ができませんでした。観衆は少なかったけれど、ファンは大会を通して元気で、クラウディオと僕を一生懸命応援してくれました。

僕たちの相手はGHCヘビー級王者の杉浦貴選手と、ものすごく過小評価されていると僕が思っているモハメド・ヨネ選手でした。クラウディオと僕がレスリングで攻勢に出るのは楽でした。彼らは強いし破壊力がありますが、僕たちの技術は世界中で実践してきたものです。僕と同様、クラウディオはヨーロッパのスタイル（イギリス式と大陸式の両方）とルチャリブレのトレーニングをしてきました。こういった技術は、特に試合の序盤で、相手より一歩先に出るのに有効です。ヨネを孤立させて、杉浦と合体できないように努力しました。しかし、ヨネはついに戻ってきて、攻撃しました。

スピアー！

それまで僕のあばらは痛んでいたけれど、まだ大丈夫でした。しかし、スピアーで僕はノックアウトされて再び脇腹に火がついたような痛みが走りました。クラウディオが助けてくれて、合体技につながり、勝ちに近づきました。ヘリコプタークラッシュ（ジャイアントスイングとドロップキックのコンビネーション）、ザ・ロイヤルTKO（スリングショットとローリングエルボーのコンビネーション）そして、ロイヤル・パワー・アンド・グローリー（クラウディオの雪崩式ブレーンバスターと僕のムーンサルトのコンビネーション）を決めました。しかし、すべてのフォールがカットされました。杉浦とヨネは僕を孤立させて、ありとあらゆる角度から蹴りを入れてきました。僕の体中がキリキリと痛みました。フォールを何度かかわしましたが、ヨネにキン肉バスターをかけられ、意識がなくなりました。意識があったとしても、怪我の痛みで3カウントを返すことはできなかったでしょう。くやしい。

クラウディオとシェイン・ヘイストが控え室まで僕を抱えてくれて、僕の怪我の状態を見ました。「たぶん大丈夫だと思う」と二人に伝えて、すぐに控え室の重いドアを開けようとしたら、思い切り顔面をぶつけました。なんとついてない日。。。

でも、その後親しい友人のマッキーと晩御飯に焼き鳥を食べに行って元気を取り戻しました。クラウディオはつくねが好きです。僕はつくねとチーズの焼き鳥が好き。

その後は大阪で二大会ありました。一日目はピンクゴディーこと、森嶋猛選手と吉江豊選手の二人との対戦でした。この試合も再びメインイベントでした。今回も僕たちのレスリングの技術で試合の序盤をコントロールできました。僕たちは吉江の足を攻めました。しばらく僕たちのコントロールは続いたけれど、吉江が僕を持ち上げて、全体重を僕のあばらにかけて叩きつけました。痛ぃ。森嶋と吉江は僕の怪我を狙って、激しいスラムとスプラッシュをかけてきました。幸いにもクラウディオが窮地を救ってくれました。クラウディオがリングに入ると、目覚しいパワーで攻撃していきました。森嶋選手をブレーンバスターで垂直に高々と持ち上げました。そして、ジャイアントスイングですばやく何度も回しました。クラウディオは吉江をバックドロップで持ち上げました。すげぇ！こんなに強いタッグパートナーがいてなんと幸せなことか。僕たちはロイヤル・パワー・アンド・グローリーを試みましたが、返されました。森嶋はマットに僕を叩きつけて、僕は立ち上がることができませんでした。そして、森嶋はクラウディオを持ち上げ、吉江がトップロープからのスプラッシュを決めました。KOWは負けてしまった。

翌日、友達とお昼に大阪名物のお好み焼きを食べました。おいしい！大会のあったアリーナはショッピングモールにつながっているので、クラウディオ、リッキー・マルビンと一緒に散歩しました。歩き出してすぐにミスタードーナッツのすばらしいにおいに立ち止まりました。お店に行って、ドーナッツを4つ買いました。2つ食べて、2つは試合後のために取っておきました。僕は甘いものが好きだけど、これはあんまりよくない。大阪2日目の相手は青柳館長と中嶋選手でした。2試合連続の負けがくやしかったので、この試合では特に攻めていきました。ムーンサルトでトップロープに登るときに足をすべらせて、あばらの状態を悪化させたけれど、それほど深刻ではなかった。中嶋選手は非常にすばらしい選手だけれど、クラウディオと僕は彼の攻撃を軽減させることができました。青柳選手の顔を蹴り上げて、6分で試合に勝ちました。試合の後、ノアのトレーナーの浅子さんにあばらの状態をみてもらいました。これ以上この怪我にグローバルタッグリーグの試合を左右されたくない。

大阪の後は北海道に行きました！次回の更新でその様子をお伝えします。

It's been a whirlwind these past few days. There are a few things to cover so let me get started.

The attendance in Nagoya was smaller than usual. The ZEPP is one of my favorite places to wrestle in Japan. It's where I had my singles match with Kensuke (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAw6Ad8o-e0) and I teamed with Doug Williams once there to take on Ogawa and Misawa. NOAH had to cancel a few shows due to the earthquakes and added this show a few weeks ago and were unable to properly advertise. The crowd, while small in number, was very vocal throughout the show and supported Claudio & I strongly.

Our opponents were GHC World Heavyweight champion Takeshi Sugiura and a wrestler that I believe is greatly underrated, Mohammed Yone. It was easy for Claudio and I to out wrestle our opponents. They're strong and very hard hitting, but our techniques have been tested all over the world. Like me, Claudio has also trained in European (both British and continental European) styles as well as Lucha Libre. This helps us to always be a step ahead of our opponents, especially in the opening stages of matches. We isolated Yone and did our best to keep him from tagging in Sugiura. Eventually he was tagged in and then it happened.

Spear!

My ribs had been feeling tender but still strong. With one maneuver the wind was knocked out of my and my sides, once again, felt like they were on fire. Claudio managed to help me and we connected with some of our combinations to nearly win the match. We used the Helicopter Crash (giant swinf with dropkick), the Royal TKO (catapult with rolling elbow) and the Royal Power & Glory (Claudio superplex followed by a Hero moonsault). Every pin attempt was broken up. Sugiura and Yone isolated me and kicked me from every angle possible. My whole body was tingling. I managed to kick out of a few more pins but once Yone picked me up for the Kinniku Buster, I was knocked silly. Even is I was fully conscious, I wouldn't have been able to kick him off of me because of my injury. I was disappointed.

Claudio and Shane Haste were helping me to the locker room and checking on my injuries. I told them I thought I would be okay and just as I did, I promptly opened one of the heavy backstage doors directly into my face, Ouch. What a lucky day...

I was cheered up after because I was able to eat a yakitori dinner with my good friend Macky. Claudio's favorite is tsukune. I like tsukune with cheese.

Next was two days in Osaka. Our first task was to battle "Pink Gordy" aka the team of Takeshi Morishima and Yutaka Yoshie. This was another main event for the Kings of Wrestling. Once again our wrestling technique put us in control of the match. We attacked Yoshie's leg. We had control for quite awhile but Yoshie picked me up and slammed me, falling with all of his body weight on my ribs. Ouch. Morishima and he used a vicious series of slams and splashes on me, obviously trying to take advantage of my condition. Fortunately Claudio was able to help me out of my predicament. Once he tagged into the ring he continued his impressive displays of power. He held Morishima high in the air for a vertical suplex. He spun him around several times, quickly with his Giant Swing. Claudio even lifted Yoshie up for a
stalling Back Suplex. Yikes! I am lucky to have such a strong tag team partner. We attempted our Royal Power & Glory but they countered. Morishima knocked me to the floor and I was unable to get up. Morishima lifted Claudio up and Yoshie followed with a top rope splash. Kings of Wrestling lose.

The next day, I had lunch with a friend and enjoyed some Osaka special okonomiyaki. Delicious! The arena for the show was connected to a nice shopping mall so I went for a walk with Claudio and Ricky Marvin. I was promptly distracted by the glorious smell of Mister Donut. I ended up coming back to MD to purchase 4 donuts. Two to eat then and two for after my match. I love sweets, maybe a little too much though. Our match on the 2nd night was Aoyagi and Nakajima. We were frustrated from our previous two losses so we decided to be extra aggressive. I slipped off the rope during a moonsault and aggravated my ribs again but it was not too serious. Nakajima is very talented but Claudio and I were able to neutralize him. I kicked Aoyagi in the face to get the win in six minutes. After the match, I worked with Asako, the NOAH trainer, and he helped me with my ribs. I didn't want the injury to affect me any longer throughout the Global Tag League.

余震と栃木大会

やあ、みんな！

今回の滞在でこれまでのところ、かなり小さな地震を二度経験したことから今日の話をはじめましょう。一回目は自分の部屋で何かを体の中に感じました。平衡感覚がおかしくなって、カタカタという音がしました。僕は15階にいるので、建物が揺れて、ギシギシという音が5分ほど続きました。これまで経験したことのない、とても現実とは思えない感じでした。それでも、これは本震と比べたら赤ん坊のように小さな余震でしょう！本震と比べたら無に等しいサイズなはず！みんなが経験した本震は想像を絶します。みんなの精神力と平常心をうらやましく思います。二回目はもっと小さかったけど、夜中に目が覚めました。でも、気にせずに眠りに戻りました。:-)　僕はオハイオ州出身で、今はペンシルバニア州に住んでいます。そこでの自然災害といえば、竜巻だけです。たまに水害や吹雪があるけれど、地震はありません。

栃木はキングスオブレスリングにとって楽しく、うまくいった大会でした。クラウディオと鈴木鼓太郎選手の試合は引き分けのタイムリミットに近かったです。でも、クラウディオはリコラボムで鈴木選手を持ち上げて、試合に勝つことができました。僕は石森太二選手とシングルマッチで再戦しました。序盤から攻めていく作戦だったけれど、それがうまくいかず、逆に彼のスピードに押されました。石森選手はトペコンヒーローでぶち当たってきました。しかし、僕は相手の動きを止めて、ローリングエルボーであわやリングアウトというところまで追い込みました。それからパイルドライバーとサイクロン・キル（ローリングトルネードキック）を浴びせましたが、まだ勝てませんでした。石森選手は回転して押さえ技を決めてきましたが、KTFO（頭を足で踏みつけ、直後にローリングエルボーを決める技）で勝ちました。メインイベントは森嶋、吉江組対潮崎、谷口組の激しい試合でした。谷口選手はものすごく力をつけてきていて、潮崎選手はいつも以上に調子がいいです。僕たちは森嶋、吉江組も見くびっていません。クラウディオと僕は彼らよりすばやいけれど、彼らのパワーはものすごいです。クラウディオは吉江選手にパワーボムをかけることができるだろうか。。。

今日はお台場のReal B Voiceで買い物ができました。Real B Voiceの服は大好き！デザインがすごくかっこいいです。シャツを何枚か買いました。ハワイのブランドだけど、アメリカでは見たことないです。不思議だなぁ。その後、クラウディオとバイソンと一緒にザ・グレート・カブキさんのお店へ晩御飯を食べに行きました。すごくおいしくて、クラウディオは今までの人生で一番おいしかったステーキだったといっていました。僕たちは「ガッデムポテト」も食べました。ザ・グレート・カブキさんはグレートなシェフでもあります。緑の毒霧は幸いなことにかかっていません。。。明日は名古屋です！僕らはヨネ、杉浦組と対戦します。すばらしい試合になるでしょう。僕のあばらの痛みはよくなってきているけど、気をつけなければなりません。パワーにあふれたクラウディオが助けてくれるでしょう。そして、必要なときには相手を抱えあげてくれます。それではまた、みんな！

Hey everyone!

I want to start this off by saying I've now experienced two very small earthquakes. The first, I was in my room and I felt something in my body. My equilibrium changed and then I heard a rumble. I'm on the 15th floor and the building swayed and squeaked for about 5 minutes. It was a very surreal feeling and something I had not experienced before. And it was just a baby earthquake/aftershock! It was literally nothing! I cannot imagine the experiences you all have had! I envy your strength and calm. The second was smaller but it woke me up in the middle of the night. I didn't worry and just went back to sleep :-) I am originally from Ohio, now I live in Pennsylvania. The only natural disasters we have to worry about are Tornadoes. Sometimes there are floods and blizzards too but never earthquakes.

The show in Tochigi was fun and successful for both Kings of Wrestling. Claudio and Kotaro Suzuki nearly battled to a time limit draw. Claudio hoisted him up for the Ricola Bomb and was able to win the match. I got to wrestle Taiji Ishimori in another singles match. I tried to get the advantage early but the plan backfired and his quickness took over. He smashed me with a Tope con Hilo. I was able to stop him and he was nearly counted out of the ring after a Rolling Elbow on the floor. I also used a Piledriver and my Cyclone Kill (rolling tornado kick) and was unable to win with those maneuvers. He rolled me up for a few quick pinfalls but I landed the KTFO (stomp to the back of the head immediately followed up by a rolling elbow) for the win. The main event was a very hard hitting match between Morishima/Yoshie and Shiozaki/Taniguchi. Taniguchi has improved tremendously and Shiozaki is as good as ever. Also, I don't want to underestimate Morishima or Yoshie. Claudio and I are quicker than them but their power is impressive. I am curious to see if Claudio can powerbomb Yoshie...

Today I was able to shop at the Real B Voice shop in Odaiba. I love their clothing! They have such cool designs. I bought a few shirts. The brand is Hawaiian but I have never seen a shop in the US. Strange. After, Claudio, Bison and I traveled to Kabuki-san's restaurant for an amazing dinner. Delicious food and I believe Claudio had what he called the best steak he has ever eaten in his life. We also enjoyed the "God Damn Potatoes." The Great Kabuki is also a great chef. Thankfully no green mist in the food... Tomorrow is Nagoya! We take on Yone and Sugiura. Should be an excellent match. My ribs are feeling better but I must be careful. Fortunately I have Powerhouse Castagnoli to back me up and carry the load when I need some help. See you next time friends!

高山・佐野組に勝利！

やあ、みんな。日本に帰ってきました！

今、すばらしい一日を終えてワシントンホテルで、眠りに着くところです。クラウディオと僕は高山・佐野組に勝ちました！勝ったのはすごくうれしいけど、あばらとお腹に痛みが残って、不安です。試合については下のほうで書きます。

昨日日本に着いて、ディファでのグローバルタッグリーグの記者会見に直行しました。その後ホテルでしばらく休めたけど、サムライTVのSアリーナに出演するためにまた出発しました！番組に参加するのはとても楽しかったです。またぜひ参加させていただきたいです。

この数日で会ったみんなが僕たちのことを気にかけてくれて、震災なのに日本に予定通り来たことに驚いているようでした。

みんなに知ってもらいたいのはこういうことです。僕にとって、日本に来てプロレスができるということは光栄なんです。震災があったのは事実だけど、僕たちは心配していません。日本人はみんな強くて、そのことに感銘を受けます。そして、僕にとって、日本人への感謝の気持ちを表す方法のひとつが、ここに来てみんなのためにプロレスをするということなんです！会場に来てくれるファン、テレビで応援してくれるファン、インターネットで結果を見守るファン、みんな僕たちを理解してくれています。そして、僕たちもみんなに感謝しています。もし同じレベルの津波や地震が他の国を襲っていたとしたら、もっとひどい状態になっていたと本当に思います。日本は国民全体がきちんとしていて、ひたむきです。なんとかしようとする日本人の努力には感銘を受けます。みんなの幸福をいつも祈っています！

ツアーの話に戻りましょう。

今日は後楽園ホールでした。クラウディオと僕はタッグを組んで、現GHCタッグ王者組の佐野・高山と対戦しました。前回の武道館では勝利にとても近かったけど、負けてしまいました。今日は、1秒1秒必死に戦い、僕たちのオリジナルの必殺技KRS-1（Kings Reign Supreme）で試合に勝ちました。相手はクラウディオを孤立させようとしましたが、クラウディオの力は彼らに強すぎました。クラウディオは高山を高々と持ち上げて、アルプス・ウォータースライドをかけました。僕は高山を倒すのに苦労しました。何度かローリングエルボーを決めたけれど、高山のように百戦錬磨の相手にダメージを与えるのはとても難しいのです。しかし、ついにムーンサルとを決めて、KTFOでカウント3に近づきました。高山は膝蹴りで形勢を逆転しました。僕の右のあばらに火がついたような痛みが走りました！すぐに佐野は僕のお腹にフットスタンプを決めました。なにかが体の中で破裂したようでした。これはよくない。アドレナリンが体に走って、サイクロン・キル（ローリングビッグブーツ）を佐野の顔に決め、クラウディオと合体技をかけました。ヘリコプタークラッシュ（ジャイアントスウィング＋ドロップキック）を佐野に決めました。クラウディオがリコラボムを佐野に決めましたが、高山がカットに入りました。高山を排除して、試合をKRS-1で決めるために、僕はロープ越しに高山にエルボースイシーダで攻撃しました。KRS-1は難しい技だけど、一度かかれば、誰も返せません。佐野も返せませんでした。今日後楽園でGHCタッグ王者、高山・佐野組に勝ったのは、クリス・ヒーロー、クラウディオ・カスタニョーリ組、すなわち我がキングス・オブ・レスリングです。

勝ってすばらしい気持ちです。でも、明日朝起きたときに怪我がどうなっているか心配です。もしかすると悪い怪我かもしれません。すぐに直るようなものだといいのですが！ノアのトレイナーたちは優秀なので、彼らが何とかしてくれると思います。

明日は栃木です。クラウディオは鈴木鼓太郎選手、僕は石森太二選手と闘います。両方ともエキサイティングな試合になるでしょう。でも、僕たちのほうが強いと信じています。僕たちは彼らより大きいし、負けるにはあまりに強すぎます。

日本中のファンにお礼を言いたいです。去年、武道館でGHCタッグに挑戦したときは多くの人が僕たちが勝てるわけないと思いました。でも、ファンのみんなは僕たちがチャンピオンに勝てると信じてくれました！結果は敗戦だったけれど、みんなの応援は忘れません。今日、後楽園で闘いながら、自分の全力を尽くすこと、自分の最高の技術に自信を持つことの大切さを思い出す助けになりました。みんなの応援がなかったら今日勝てなかったかもしれません。怪我をしても全力を尽くして闘い続けます！

追伸：
先週、僕の親友「スウィートアンド・サワー」ことラリー・スウィーニーが亡くなりました。このツアーでの試合は彼に捧げます。ラリーは日本に一度しか来ていないけれど、アメリカでは大人気でした。アメリカの団体CHIKARAでデビューして、ROHで僕のマネージャーとなるまではIWAミッドサウス、CZW、そしてIWCピッツバーグで活躍しました。彼は昔のプロレラーのスタイルに逆行したような人でした。そして、アイアン・シーク、ワンマンギャング、ブルーノ・サンマルチノ、ビル・ダンディー、ブラッド・アームストロング、カマラ、デモリッション、などのレジェンドと闘う幸運に恵まれました。僕にとって、彼はカリスマのあるレスラー以上にすばらしい友人でした。彼を愛し、彼の死を悼みます。http://a4.l3-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/33/6b4e1c5f8be81315ca5bfbf8b5bda482/l.jpg

Well, friends, we are back!

I am at the Washington Hotel, getting ready to sleep after a wonderful day. Claudio & I defeated Takayama and Sano! As happy as I am with the victory, I am worried about this rib/stomach pain I am experiencing. I will discuss the match in a moment.

We arrived yesterday and went straight to Differ for a press conference regarding the Global Tag League. We were able to freshen up at the hotel after but then it was off to Samurai TV for the S-Arena broadcast! We enjoyed the show very much and we hope to be on the show again.

Everyone here, so far, have been concerned for us and surprised that we decided to come to Japan, even with all the current difficulties. This is what I want everyone to know. It is an honor to be able to come to Japan and perform. Even with the recent disasters, we are not afraid. You have all been so strong and it is inspiring. Our way to show appreciation is to come here and perform for you all! The fans at live shows, the fans that watch on television and the fans that follow our results online. We know you appreciate us, and we certainly appreciate you. Honestly, I feel that is the tsunami and earthquakes would have hit any other countries in the world, the results would have been greater. Your country, as a whole, is disciplined and dedicated. You are making the best of the situation and it is amazing to see. We will always wish you the best!

Back to the tour.

Today was Korakuen. Claudio and I teamed together in the Main Event against our rivals, the GHC Tag Team Champions, Sano and Takayama. We came very close to defeating them at Budokan but came up short. Today we fought every bit as hard and managed to end the match with out original finishing maneuver, the KRS-1 (Kings Reign Supreme). They isolated Claudio early but his power was too strong. He deadlifted Takayama with the Alpamare Waterslide and tagged me into the match. I struggled to knock Takayama off of his feet. I used rolling elbows but it is very difficult to damage someone who has been in as many wars as he, I eventually knocked him down with a Moonsault and used my KTFO to nearly pin him. Takayama took the wind out of me with a Knee Blast. The right side of my ribcage felt like it was on fire! Shortly after, Sano landed a double stomp to my midsection and I felt something pop. This is not good. My adrenaline was such that I connected a Cyclone Kill (rolling high boot) to Sano's face and tagged Claudio to capitalize. Sano survived the Helicopter Crash (giant swing + dropkick). Takayama saved him from being pinned on Claudio's Ricola Bomb. I dove through the ropes on Takayama with an Elbow Suicida, taking him out of the picture so Claudio and I could deliver our finishing move. The KRS-1. It is a difficult maneuver to execute but once we've hit it, no one has ever been able to kick out. Sano was no different. You winners, today in Korakuen Hall against the GHC Tag Champs, Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli: the Kings of Wrestling.

It's a great feeling. I am concerned, though, how I will feel when I wake up. Maybe this is not a serious injury. It could just have been something sudden that will heal quickly. I hope so! The training staff at NOAH is very skilled, so I am sure they will be able to help me.

Tomorrow is Tochigi. Claudio faces Kotaro Suzuki and I wrestle Taiji Ishimori, Both should be exciting matches but I believe we are the clear favorites. We are too big and too strong to be defeated right now.

A special thank you goes out to all of our fans in Japan. Last year, at Budokan, when we challenged for the titles, many people thought we had no chance. However, some of you were certain we would defeat the champions! While it did not happen, we did not forget that support. We felt it tonight at Korakuen and it helped remind us to give our best and be certain of our abilities. If we didn;t have the support we did tonight, we may not have won. We will continue to fight our best, regardless of injuries!

This past week, a close friend of mine, Sweet & Sour Larry Sweeney, passed away. I dedicate this tour to his memory. He has only performed once in Japan but he was incredibly popular in the U.S. He started in Chikara and also made a name for himself in IWA Mid South, CZW and IWC Pittsburgh before making his way to Ring of Honor where he managed me. He was a throwback to the old style personalities of wrestlers. He even had the fortunate of performing with a number of legends including the Iron Shiek, One Man Gang, Bruno Sammartino, Bill Dundee, Brad Armstrong, Kamala, Demolition and many more. He was a great friend beyond his unmatched charisma as a wrestler. I loved him and I will miss him dearly.

みなさん、こんにちは。日本への大変な被害を聞いてものすごく心を痛めています。先週木曜の夜、コンサートから帰宅する途中、次から次へと日本での悲惨な状況についてのメッセージが届きました。ニュースやインターネットで見た映像は恐ろしいものでした。大自然は時に恐ろしいものです。

日本の友人たちに連絡を取ったところ、全員無事でした。このブログを読んでいるすべてのみんなに、僕がずっとみんなの無事を祈っていること、そして祈り続けることをお伝えしたく思います。とても厳しい状況だけど、あなたたち、そう、あなたたち日本人はものすごい力をもっているんです。

何年もの間、いろいろな国を旅行しました。僕が旅行したのは世界中の20カ国近くにおよびます。そして、日本という国がいままで訪れた中でもっとも力強く、もっとも感銘を与える場所であると心から思います。

日本人は20世紀中にさまざまな困難を経験してきました。しかし、困難があるたびにそれを乗り越え、より強くなっていきました。僕のツイッターのタイムラインを見ると、他の何人ものアメリカ人も同じように感じています。あなたたちは、他の国にない誇りと規律をもっています。

ですから、時として脅威や悲しみがあったとしても、あなたたちが＊必ず＊間違いなく乗り越えることを確信しています。「どんな暗雲にも光明が隠されている」ということわざのとおりです。僕たちは逆境にさらされますが、結果的にそれに打ち勝ちよりすばらしい人間となるのです。

金曜日に、NBAのCeltics対76ersのバスケットボールの試合を観に行きました。ちょっと馬鹿げていると思うかもしれませんが、僕が何年も愛してきた日本という国のために「ファイティングスピリット」と書かれたTシャツを着ました。ファイティングスピリットはプロレスを超えたものです。苦難の時には魂の底まで探って、そして、ゆっくり一歩ずつ力強く前進する勇気を見つけだすんです。

日本にまた行きます。そして、僕の心から尊敬する日本人のみんなの前で闘えることを誇りに思います。友よ、がんばってください。近々会えるのを楽しみにしています。

Hello friends. I am incredibly sorry to hear about the damage to your homeland. I was on my way home from a concert last Thursday night and I started to receive text after text about the tragedy. The footage we've seen here on the news and on the internet is terrifying.　

Mother Nature can be very scary sometimes. I was able to check with many of my friends and they all assured me of their well being. I want to tell all of you reading this that I have been and will　continue to think of you and wish the best. It is a very difficult time but YOU, the people of Japan, are incredible.

I have done a lot of travel over the years. I've been to nearly 20 countries all over the world and I can honestly say that the country of Japan is the strongest and most inspiring place I've been to.
Throughout the last century, you've been subject to a number of tragedies and you have made it though each time and were stronger afterward. On my Twitter timeline there are several other Americans who feel the same way. You have a pride and discipline unlike any that I've seen. So, while it may be threatening and sad at the time, I am confident that you WILL make it through this. That is the 'silver lining' on the dark cloud, so to speak. We are all tested by adversity and in the end, we are better people because of it.

On Friday I attended a NBA Basketball game between the Celtics and the 76ers. It may seem a bit silly, but I chose to wear my "FIGHTING SPIRIT" t-shirt to support the country that I've grown to love over the years. This Fighting Spirit extends past the realm of wrestling.
When times get hard, you reach down into your soul and find the courage to move forward, one powerful step at a time.

I will be back in Japan and it will be an honor to once again perform for the people I so admire. Stay strong friends and I will see you soon.

成田からシカゴ・オヘア空港へ帰る飛行機の中でこれを書いています。今回のツアーはすばらしいものでした。今、頭の中で入り混じった感情が回っています。アメリカに帰国して地元の友人たちに再会できるのはうれしいけれど、日本を離れる時はいつも悲しい思いがします。これまで参戦してきたツアーでは、いつも最終戦ですばらしい試合に恵まれてきました。最終戦までベストな体力を温存するというよりは、最終戦になってようやく全力が発揮できる状態になったのに帰国しなければならない、という感じがいつもします。でも帰国しなければならないとしたら、武道館のすばらしい大会でツアーを終える以上にいい終わり方はないんじゃないでしょうか。＝）

まず、今回のツアーの終わりから2番目の大会についてお伝えします。僕は田上社長とタッグを組んで井上雅夫、小川良成組と対戦しました。社長と色を合わせるため、僕は赤いKoWのトランクスを履きました。田上社長ではなくて、僕の入場曲が鳴って驚きました。田上社長を見上げたら「君がチャンピオンはだからだよ」といってくださいました。そうか、日本の赤コーナーというのはこういうシステムなのだと認識しました。試合は楽しかったです。観衆は序盤は静かでしたが、試合が進むに連れてエキサイトしてきました。井上選手は僕の目を10回以上もかきむしりました！ほとんど何も見えなくなった。この技には何か逸話があるんでしょうか。。。小川選手とはチェーンレスリング（関節技の取り合い）の攻防を楽しみました。小川選手はテクニカルなヨーロッパのスタイルのプロレスが得意なので、こういった攻防ができてよかったです。僕の最近の試合は激しいものが多く、2000年から2006年くらいまでよくやっていた15分から20分もの時間をグラウンドの攻防に費やす試合は少なくなっています。でも、チェーンレスリングは好きなスタイルのひとつです。僕の古い試合を見てくれればそれがわかると思いますよ！有名なのは1993年（古い！）にCMパンクとのシングルの試合です。1時間半もの試合だったのですが、ほとんどが基本的なテクニカルな攻防でした。

試合が進むにつれて田上社長と僕は合体技（ダブルビッグブーツ、ダブル喉輪おとしなど）を決めていきました。これは有効でした。井上選手は僕のKTFOでカウント3を取らせなかったので、コーナーポストからムーンサルトでとどめをさしました。いい試合だった。クラウディオはモハメド・ヨネ選手への激勝でKoWの連勝街道に貢献しました。すごい試合だった！

翌日はオフといえばオフだったのですが、岡山から有明までバスの中で10時間も過ごしました。10時間、読んだり、書いたり、音楽を聴いたり、寝たりして過ごしました。クラウディオと一緒にプロレス試合のビデオも見ました。日本にいるとき、いつも日本のプロレス史に残るような試合を見ることにしています。レジェンドたちがどのようにしてファンの心をつかんだのか、そして、それぞれの試合にどのようなストーリがあったのかを勉強します。もちろんこういう試合ではレスリングそのものもすばらしく、またプロレス史上でも屈指の激しい戦いがあります。

その次の日は日本テレビでの記者会見に出席しました。レスラーの会見を見にたくさんのファンが集まりました。とても本格的な記者会見で、僕たちは丸藤、KENTA、鼓太郎、金丸、森嶋、杉浦、高山、佐野、吉江、バイソンらの選手と並びました。僕たちはファンに武道館で必ず勝つと宣言しました。高山と佐野はもちろん優秀なタッグです。彼らは強いし、クラウディオや僕よりも経験もずっとあります。でも、彼らも人間です。彼らもツアー中に敗戦しましたし、僕たちは僕たちで彼らと直に闘って武道館で勝つための作戦も練ってきました。そして。。。

当日がやってきました。この日のために日本に来たのです。Kings of Wrestlingにとって大成功となったツアーの総決算です。クラウディオと僕は武道館までの移動中のバスの中でおしゃべりをしていました。驚いたことに緊張感はまったくありませんでした。興奮はしていたけれど、緊張はしませんでした。試合で活用したい合体技やベルトを奪取するための最善の作戦について語り合いました。武道館に着いたら、僕たちのコスチュームのデザイナーである近藤さんが新しいリングジャケットを持ってきてくれました。すばらしい出来ばえでした！みんも見たら納得すると思います。クラウディオと僕のはよく似ていますが、僕のはフードがついていて、クラウディオのは襟がついています。新しいコスチュームは試合への気持ちを高めるのに役立ちました。入場曲が鳴り、クラウディオと僕は花道に出ました。一瞬二人で止まってすべてを心に受け止めました。しばらくたたずんで、会場の雰囲気を体全部で受け入れました。これまでの努力と専心のおかげで僕たちはここまで来れたのです。リングまでまっすぐ続く武道館の花道。ああ。

「準備はいい？」クラウディオに聞きました。
「うん」とクラウディオは返事しました。
「よし、いくぞ」

そして、リングまで二人で前進しました。僕たちの入場曲が1万人近いファンの集まった歴史的な会場で鳴り響いていました。観衆は温かく迎えてくれましたが、中には僕たちのことを知らなかったり、僕たちのことをあまり気にかけていなかった人たちもいたと思います。でも、そんなことは関係ありません。試合が終われば、みんなが僕たちのことを知って、僕たちがどんなレスラーなのかわかってくれるからです。

対戦相手、高山・佐野組も入場しました。彼らは威厳に満ちていたと認めざるを得ません。特に、高山選手の入場曲、そして、彼のリングへの入場の仕方は自信に満ちていました。1秒でも惜しいので、すぐにチャンピオンたちに攻撃していきました。佐野選手を孤立させて、僕たち最高の合体技をかけました。ハート・アッタク・エルボー・ストライクそして、ヘリコプタークラッシュです。もし高山選手がすぐにカットに入らなかったら、GHC史上最短の試合時間だったかもしれません。場外では、高山をフェンス越しにエルボーで倒しました。彼が倒れた後、ものすごいゴツンとした音がアリーナの床でしました。試合に勝つために闘っているけれど、相手を怪我させるのは僕の本望ではありません。一瞬高山選手の状態を心配したけれど、試合中心配し続けるわけにはいきません。クラウディオと僕は佐野選手への攻撃に戻りました。彼のキックを跳ね返しました。彼のキックは非常に危険な武器なので、威力を半減させるよう試みました。クラウディオが片足のジャイアントスイングで佐野選手を回したのです！

しばらくして、高山選手がエプロンに戻ったので、キックで跳ね飛ばしました。クラウディオは花道で佐野選手にスープレックスをかけようとしましたがうまくいきませんでした。佐野選手はバランスを失って、高山選手の上に落とされました。チャンスだと思いました。相手が二人とも場外でうつぶせに倒れています。今まで2度しか実際に使っていないある動きをずっと練習していました。そして今回のバージョンはいつもと少し違っていました。リングを対角線上に走るからです。1秒もかけずに決断しました。

「これでどうだ」

リングを横切り、トップロープのところでひねりを加えて、場外にハイジャンプ・ダイビング・ムーンサルトを決めました。観衆が大興奮の声を上げて、アドレナリンが僕の体を駆け巡りました。技が見事に決まった。スゴイ！

僕たちはさらに佐野選手を孤立させましたが、彼は屈しませんでした。高山選手は体力を回復し、リングに入りながら僕にドロップキックを浴びせました。僕とクラウディオをスープレックスで投げ飛ばしました。ローリングエルボーとサイクロンキックでなんとか彼に反撃し、クラウディオにタッチしました。クラウディオの必殺技ウォータースライド、そしてグッドラックラリアットが決まりました。しかし、どちらも3カウントを取るには至りませんでした。クラウディオが高山選手にスープレックスをかけようとするのが見えました。前からこういう場面は想定していましたが、あの大きな高山選手をトップロープまで持ち上げたクラウディオのはものすごい力です。投げ飛ばされた高山選手にムーンサルトを決める準備をしました。この連携技をロイヤル・パワー・アンド・グローリーと呼んでいます。佐野選手がカットにはいりました。佐野選手はフットスタンプをクラウディオに浴びせたので、僕はローリングエルボーで反撃しました！高山選手がエベレストをクラウディオにかけようとしたので、僕はもう一発ローリングエルボーを決めました。このチャンスを利用してクラウディオはこの試合で一番目覚しい技を見せました。リコラボムです！佐野選手が再びカットに入りました。もしこのカットがなかったら、クラウディオは間違いなく勝っていたでしょう。

佐野選手は分断するために僕をスープレックスで投げ飛ばしました。高山選手は膝蹴りとスピンキックを何発も当てて、ドラゴンスープレックスを決めました。それでもクラウディオはカウント2で跳ね返すパワーがまだ残っていました！クラウディオ以外ここでカウント2で跳ね返すことができるレスラーは他にいないのではないでしょうか？でもクラウディオのダメージは激しいものでした。高山がエベレスト・ジャーマン・スープレックスで勝利を収めました。くやしい。。。

カウント3が入る前にカットに入ることはできませでしたが、リングに戻ってクラウディオの状態をチェックしました。コーナーまでクラウディオを引きずっていったら、なんと高山、佐野、両選手が僕たちの活躍を認めてくれて、握手を求めてきたのです。ものすごく感動しました。何秒かの沈黙の後、僕たちは彼らの手を握り返し、リングを後にしました。花道で立ち止まりファンを見ました。おおお、みんな拍手をして、声援を送ってくれている。ファンのみんな、そう、みんなが僕たちを日本に暖かく迎えてくれるんです。また日本に戻ってくる日が待ち遠しい。

試合後のインタビューで、負けて残念だと僕たちはいいました。もっとできたのに、と思います。勝ちは目前でした。再戦したいです。もちろん、一から出直しです。また挑戦するまでに激しいトレーニングをしなければなりませんが、僕たちはそれができるし、それを必ずします。いつまた日本に帰って来られるかわかりませんが、次に戻ってくるとにはまたGHCタッグに挑戦したいです。そのときたとえ誰がチャンピオンであっても。

ずいぶんと長文になってしまいましたので、この辺で終わりにします。でも、その前にクラウディオと僕は以下の方々に感謝の気持ちを表したく思います。

As I type this, I am on my flight back to the US from Narita to Chicago O'Hare. It's been a great tour and I have a mix of emotions swirling around my head right now. As happy as I am to be returning home to see all my friends, leaving Japan is always a little sad. On every tour I've been on, the final show has been wonderful. I guess you're supposed to save the best for last but, to me, it always feels
like once we finally get warmed up, it's time to go home. I guess if I have to go home now, there’s better way than to finish with an excellent show at Budokan Hall =)

First, I have to discuss my second to last show for NOAH. I teamed with Taue to take on Masao Inoue & Yoshinari Ogawa. I wore my red KoW trunks to match shacho. I was surprised to hear my music when we were making our entrance. I looked at Taue san & he just said "You Champion." Ha. I guess that's how red corner works in Japan. The match was fun. The crowd was quiet at first but they came alive during the match. Inoue must have raked my eyes 10 times! I could barely see. I wonder what the back story is to this... I had the pleasure of doing a little chain wrestling with Ogawa. I know he is a fan of the technical & European styles so it was nice to be able to go hold for hold. Most of my matches nowadays are very intense & I don't have the liberty of rolling around on the mat for 15/20 minutes like I did back in 02-06.

Chain wrestling is one of my favorite parts of matches. You will know this if you watch any of my old matches, ha. A famous one is my 93 (!!!) minute singles match with CM Punk. We wrestled for over an hour & a half & most of it was basic technical wrestling. Anyway, as the match went on, Taue & I combined for some double teams (double boot, nodowa otoshi/back suplex). This gave us an advantage. Inoue kicked out of the KTFO so I climbed to the top for a Moonsault Press. Nice match. Claudio kept our wining ways alive with a hard fought victory over Mohammed Yone. Brutal match!

The next day was "off" but we spent 10 hours of the day in the bus traveling from Okayama to Ariake. I spent the ten hours reading, writing, listening to music & sleeping. I think I even watched a few matches with Claudio. When we're in Japan we like to watch historical matches from Japan. We try to figure out how they captivated the crowd & what kind of story each match told. Of course, the wrestling is great & the matches contain some of the most brutal exchanges in all of wrestling.

The day after we headed over to NTV for a televised press conference. There were a good number of fans that turned up to see what everyone had to say. It was a very professional environment & we sat alongside Marufuji, Kenta, Kotaro, Kanemaru, Morishima, Sugiura, Takayama, Sano, Yoshie & Bison. We informed the crowd that we were confident that we would win at Budokan. Yes, Sano & Takayama are formidable duo. Yes they are strong and far more experienced than Claudio & I. However, they are human. They can be beaten & throughout the tour, we saw them up close & devised a strategy to defeat them at Budokan. This brings us to...

The day. This is what we came for: the culmination of a very successful tour for the Kings of Wrestling. Claudio & I conversed on the bus trip over to Budokan & surprisingly we were not nervous. Excited, but not nervous. We discussed some double teams we'd like to utilize & what strategy would be the best to take the belts. As we got to the building, our gear designer Kondou showed up with our new ring
jackets. Beautiful! When you see our match, you will know what I mean. They are similar but mine has a hood and Claudio's has a collar. This helped add to the whole atmosphere of the match. Our music hit, Claudio & I stepped out onto the ramp. After a few steps we stopped to take everything in. We allowed ourselves a few moments to bask in that moment. All of our hard work & dedication brought us to this point: the ramp to the ring at Budokan Hall. Ahhhh.

"Ya ready?" I said to Claudio.

"Yup." He replied.

"Let's go."

And with that, we marched to the ring, our entrance theme playing to the near 10,000 fans in the historic hall. We were met with a warm reception but I could tell that some of the fans were either unfamiliar with us or unsure of us. That was not our concern. I knew that after the match, everyone would know who we were & what we're about.

Takayama & Sano entered & I'll admit, their presence is intimidating. Especially Takayama's music & the way he enters the ring. We wasted no time and went right after the champions. We isolated Sano for some of our high end double team maneuvers: the Hart Attack/Elbow Strike & the Helicopter Crash. If it wasn't for Takayama breaking up the pin, we would have won the titles in record time. On the floor, I managed to elbow Takayama over the guardrail. On his way back, I heard a sickening thud as his head crashed to the arena floor. Now I'm in wrestling to win matches, not to injure my opponents. I was concerned but I couldn't show any mercy. Claudio & I went back to work on Sano. We attacked the leg he kicks with. It's his most lethal offensive weapon so we attempted to neutralize it. Claudio pulled off a one legged Giant Swing!

Before long, Takayama returned to the apron so we promptly kicked him back down. Claudio attempted to suplex Sano from the ramp to the floor but was unsuccessful. Sano lost his footing and crashed down to where Takayama was on the floor. This is where I saw my opportunity. Both opponents, prone, on the ringside floor. I had been training this move quite some time, but had only executed this move twice. This was a bit different as well because I had to jump from the ring diagonally. I took a half second to think...

"Here goes nothing..."

I charged across the ring, stopping before the ropes to twist and diving outside of the ring with a High Jump Moonsault. The crowd roared & I felt an incredible surge of adrenaline. I actually pulled off the move! Sugoi!

We made further attempts to put away Sano but he would not give up. Takayama regained his composure & entered the ring, dropkicking me in the process. He threw both Claudio & myself with suplexes. It took a rolling elbow & a cyclone kick to knock him off of his feet & bring in Claudio. The Waterslide was impressive. As was the Good Luck Lariat. Unfortunately neither got the victory. I saw Claudio setting Takayama up to for a Superplex. We had discussed this but Takayama is a big guy. It was impressive seeing him lift Takayama to the top rope. As
they landed, I put myself in position to come crashing down with a Moonsault Press. We call this Royal Power & Glory. Sano broke up the pin. They got Claudio down for a double team. We had this scouted, so as Sano landed a double stomp on Claudio I blasted him with a rolling elbow! Takayama tried the Everest on Claudio, but I was able to help him counter with *another* rolling elbow. This allowed Claudio to connect with the most impressing maneuver of the match: a Ricola Bomb! Once again, Sano made the save. If he hadn't, Claudio would have gotten the pin for sure.

Sano suplexed me on the floor taking me out of the picture. Takayama hit a Dragon Suplex after some knees & spin kicks. Claudio used everything in his power to kick out! This would have pinned any other wrestler at that point, I feel. However, Claudio was too damaged. Takayama hit the bridging Everest German Suplex for the win. Damn.

I rolled in too late to break the pin but I was able to check on Claudio. I rolled him to the corner & much to my surprise, Takayama & Sano were there immediately, showing us respect & asking to shake our hands. It was very overwhelming. After a few moments of contemplation, we shook their hands & made our way to the locker room. On our way back we stopped to look at the fans. Wow. All the clapping & cheering... You fans reallymake us feel at home in Japan. We can't wait to come back.

We said in a post match interview that we were disappointed. We know we can do better. We were so close. We want a rematch. Not for free. We understand that we have to work our way back, but we can and will. I don't know when we will be back, but when we come back, we want another shot at those titles, no matter who the champions are.

I've already written a lot. I think it's time to go now. Before I do, I have some thank you's from Claudio & myself.

いよいよタイトルマッチの日がやってきました！昨日までの試合のことは後ほどお伝えする予定ですが、武道館に向かう前にみんなにごあいさつをと思って、これを書いています。

クラウディオと僕はものすごく興奮しています。僕たちが次のGHCタッグ王者にふさわしいということを武道館のファンやテレビの前のみんなに証明する機会がやってきました。この試合は僕たちのタッグとしてこれまでで最も重要な試合です。僕たちはガンバります！みんなの応援本当にありがとう。みんなのために今夜闘ってきます！！！！！

Well, today is the day! I will recap my last show later but I wanted to say hello before I left for Budokan.

Claudio & I are both incredibly excited. It is our turn to prove to everyone to at Budokan Hall & watching at home that we deserve to be the next GHC World Tag Team Champions. This is the biggest moment thus far in our career as a tag team & you can be sure that we are going to gambatte ne! Thank you all for supporting us & we will fight for you tonight.

前回の更新からあっという間に一週間経ちました！まず初めに、このブログでのみなさんのコメント、そして、大会でのみなさんの応援にお礼を申し上げます。すごくはげみになります。クラウディオも感謝しております。The Kings of Wrestlingから「ドウモアリガトウゴザイマス」とお礼を申し上げさせてください！

前回のブログで佐々木健介戦について話しました。試合を改めて振り返ってみると、自分の試合内容には満足しているけれど、もっとできたのではないかとも思います。いつか再戦したいです。シングルマッチが無理なら、健介、中嶋組 vs. The Kings of Wrestlingというのはどうでしょうか？

土曜日の京都の大会では、クラウディオと僕は杉浦、斉藤組とタッグで対決しました。KBSホールは中が美しいので、そこで試合ができるのをいつも喜びに思います。私の友人シュン・ザ・カブキ・キッドが試合を観に来てくれました。彼とはアメリカで会い、CZWで試合もしました。非常に面白い試合となりました。おかしな試合といってもいいかも。その試合の模様はYoutubeで見られます。

京都のタッグマッチは激しいものでした。しかし、クラウディオと僕は、ノアに参戦以来タッグでの最大の勝利をもぎとりました。クラウディオは斉藤選手に喉輪落としをかけたけれど、効き目がなかったので、ジャイアントスイングで回しはじめました。その間僕はローリングエルボーで杉浦選手をリングの外に落とし、すばやくリングに戻って、ジャイアントスイングで回転している斉藤選手の頭にドロップキックを浴びせました。これは「ヘリコプタークラッシュ」と呼んでいる合体技です。これで勝ちを収めることができました。高山、佐野戦に向けてのいい試合となりました。

その次の日は、兵庫（神戸）で青木篤志選手と対戦しました。青木選手はすばらしいハートを見せ、4年前に戦った時に比べて目覚しい成長を見せました。でも彼のスピードと技は僕のパワーと体格を超えることができませんでした。彼は押さえ込みやスモールパッケージホールドであやうく3カウントを取りそうになりました。しかしロープから跳ね返ってきた青木選手のボディにヘッドバットをして、KTFOを決めました。カウントツーで返されたので、ためらいなく僕はトップロープに上がり、ムーンサルトを決めて勝ちました。天井はかなり低かったのですが、高さを計算するために1秒でもムーンサルトが遅れていたら青木選手にかわされていたでしょう。プロレスでは、リスクを負って、自信をもって思い切った動きをすることが重要です。ほんの少しでもためらいがあると試合に負けてしまうこともあります。青木選手とはまた対戦してみたい。彼のタッグパートナーであるKENTAはかつてROHで僕に勝っています。The King of Wrestlingとしてタッグで青木、KENTA組と闘ってもいいかも。うーむ。

29日には大牟田に移動しました。スーパー外人チームとして、The Kings of Wrestlingはデリリアス、バイソン・スミスと組んで、高山、佐野、杉浦、相島勇人（地元のレスラー）組と対戦しました。この試合を通して僕たちはGHCチャンピオン組（高山、佐野）への敵対心を増しました。今回のツアーでは僕たちは高山、佐野、杉浦のチームにはすでに勝っているので、相手がデリリアスを狙っているのが分かりました。結局杉浦がものすごいオリンピック予選スラムでデリリアスを倒し、彼らの作戦は成功に終わりました。負けはよくないけれど、力を温存しておきました。

5連戦の最後として熊本にやってきました。ここは僕が初めて小橋選手に対戦した場所でもあります。去年の11月、バイソン・スミスと組んで小橋、佐野組と対戦したのです。この試合の前にボクシングのスパーリングをすることができました。去年の夏から、僕はボクシングのトレーニングを始めました。結構早く身について、ボクシングを楽しむようになりました。その数ヵ月後に肩の怪我をしてボクシングのトレーニングができなくなりましたが、練習を再開しました。いろんなボクシングの動きを忘れてしまいましたが、割と早く感覚が戻ってきました。リッキー・マルビン、谷口、中嶋、KENTAたちとスパーリングをしました。本気のスパーリングではないけれど、楽しかったです。アメリカに帰ったら、またボクシングのトレーニングを強化します。

熊本ではクラウディオと僕は世界を代表するジュニアヘビーの選手二人、石森太二、リッキー・マルビン組と対戦しました。僕たちはすでに今回のツアーで二人とも倒しているので、向こうが勝ちを本気で狙ってくるのがわかりました。大牟田での敗戦がくやしかったので、力強さをみせつけることに集中しました。相手は序盤、僕たちを翻弄しましたが、僕たちのチームワークと技の正確さが彼らの動きを止めました。僕たちはマルビンをパチンコ玉のようにリング状で跳ね回し、石森の左肩と左腕を集中攻撃しました。リッキーは驚くべき回復力でクラウディオに何発ものトラースキックと延髄斬りを浴びせました。そして石森はジャンピングダブルニーパットと裏DDTで攻撃してきました。リッキーと石森は合体技をやってきました。僕はダブルのKTFOで両者を同時に倒しました。クラウディオはマルビンを脇に押しやり、すぐ後に僕は石森をサイクロンキック（ローリングハイキック）で倒しました。とてもエキサイティングな試合でした。観衆は、The King of Wrestlingがヘビー級であってもジュニアの選手のスピードに負けないということが分かったと思います。この試合がテレビで放送されることを願います！

広島に戻って1日オフでした。クラウディオと僕は広島の平和公園まで歩いて行きました。博物館は閉まっていましたが、原爆ドームでたっぷりと時間をすごすことができました。すごく心に訴えるものがあって、現実とは思えないくらいでした。第二次世界大戦については専門的な知識はないけれど、いろいろと勉強しました。戦争中はとても悲しい時代だったと思います。僕の祖父は第二次大戦中軍人として米軍で働きました。僕の祖母はドイツ人で、戦時中に祖父とドイツで出逢いました。その時代としてはとても変わった出逢いだったと思います。国と国の対立が終わった後に生まれて幸運に思います。僕の人生の中でもたくさん悲しい出来事があったけれど、第二次世界大戦の悲しさとは比べものになりません。僕は平和主義者なので、戦争という概念には困惑させられます。僕の友人のほとんどは同じような意見です。僕は未来に前向きです。僕はクラウディオと世界中を訪れることができることをうれしく思います。旅は前向きな思いにしてくれますし、日々の生活のありがたさを教えてくれます。

今日は田上社長とタッグを組みます！社長のトランクスに合わせて、赤いKOWのトランクスを履きます。僕たちのタッグはザ・ダイナミック・ヒーローズとでも呼べましょうか？クラウディオはシングルマッチでモハメド・ヨネ選手と闘います。ヨネ選手の世間の評価は低すぎると思っています。彼はタッグで闘うことが多いですが、僕はシングルで闘ったことがあります。シングルマッチでは危険な相手です。クラウディオと僕が勝ちぐせをつけたまま武道館に向かうことが重要です。このブログをみんなが読む頃には試合が終わっているでしょう。そして、武道館への準備は万端となっているはずです。みんな僕たちの幸運を祈ってくれています。とてもありがたいことです。でも、今回は運は必要ないと思っています。集中力を高めて、ここまで到達するまでに費やしてきた努力を忘れなければ負けないはずです。10ヶ月前、僕たちThe Kings of Wrestlingはグローバルタッグリーグで全敗しました。しかし、今週の日曜日には現GHCタッグの王座戦に臨みます。1年の間にこれだけの変化が起こりうるわけです。応援ありがとう！僕たちのファンでよかったと思ってもらえるようにがんばります。

6 Matches, 7 Days

It's been a week since my last blog. Too long! First, I want to thank everyone for their comments, both on this page & at the shows. It's inspiring. Claudio also appreciates all the support so domo arigatou gozaimasu from both of the Kings of Wrestling!

So last time I spoke, I had just wrestled Kensuke. After looking back　on it, I am still pleased with my performance but I know I can do　better. I hope for another opportunity. If not a singles match, how about Kensuke & Nakajima v. the Kings of Wrestling?

Saturday in Kyoto, Claudio & I returned to Kyoto in tag team competition against Sugiura & Saito. KBS Hall is beautiful inside & it's always a pleasure to perform there. My friend Shun the Kabuki Kid was in attendance. I met him in the US & even wrestled him for CZW. It was an entertaining match. Funny, even. The youtube video can be found here:

The match was hard fought. Claudio & I managed our biggest tag win thus far in NOAH competition. A Nodowa Otoshi from Claudio to Saito couldn't put him away, so as Claudio begun to spin Saito around with the Giant Swing, I floored Sugiura with a Rolling Elbow on the floor, slid into the ring & assisted with a dropkick to Saito's head. This is a combination we call the Helicopter Crash & we got the victory with this maneuver. It was a good match to get us ready for Takayama & Sano.

The next day, I took on Atsushi Aoki in Hyogo (Kobe). Aoki has shown a great deal of heart & has improved greatly since I met him nearly 4 years ago. His speed & technique, however, was no match for my size & strength. He nearly snuck away with the win after a back slide & a small package. As he came off the ropes, I caught him with a headbutt to the midsection & a KTFO. He kicked out, & without hesitation, I climbed to the top rope, diving backwards with a Moonsault Press that would win the match for me. The ceiling was rather low, but if I would have taken a second to measure my jump, Aoki could have moved out of the way. In wrestling, it's important to have the confidence to take such risks. If you pause for even a slight moment, the match can be lost. I would like to wrestle Aoki again. His partner, KENTA, has a singles victory over me in Ring of Honor. Perhaps the Kings of Wrestling should do battle with Aoki & KENTA. Hm...

On the 29th, we traveled to Omuta. The super gaijin team of KoW, Delirious & Bison Smith teamed to wrestle Takayama, Sano, Sugiura & local wrestler Yuto Aijima. This served to heat up the rivalry that Claudio & I now have with the GHC Champions. We have victories over Takayama, Sano & Sugiura already this tour so I think they knew to win the match they would have to isolate Delirious. Their strategy was successful as Sugiura defeated Delirious with his impressive Olympic Slam. A loss is not acceptable but we persevere.

On the final day of our 5-day-run we arrived in Kumamoto. This is where I first wrestled Kobashi. He teamed with Sano last November against Bison & myself. Before this show, I was able to a bit of sparring (boxing) with some of the guys. Last summer I started to train for boxing. I got the hang of it pretty quicky & really started to enjoy it. After a few months, a shoulder injury prevented me from continuing & I haven't begun training again. I had forgotten a lot of technique, but some of it came back rather quickly. I sparred with Ricky Marvin, Taniguchi, Nakajima & Kenta. It wasn't 100% sparring but it was still fun. When I get back to the US I will resume my training.

This time in Kumamoto, Claudio & I faced two of the hottest junior heavyweights in the world, Taiji Ishimori & Ricky Marvin. We had already defeated the two of them in singles competition this tour so we knew they would come into the match aggressively. Annoyed by our loss in Omuta, we vowed to leave a strong impression. They had us rocking & reeling in the opening minutes but our tag team precision & cooperation stopped them in their tracks. We bounced Marvin around the ring like a pinball & focused on the left arm & shoulder of Ishimori. Ricky mounted an exceptional comeback against Claudio with a series of thrust kicks & enzuigiris. Ishimori attacked me with a flying double knee attack & a quebrada inverted ddt. Ricky saved & the two of them atempted a double team maneuver. I managed a tandem KTFO on both men.

Claudio got rid of Marvin & shortly thereafter, Ishimori fell victim to my Cyclone Kick (rolling high kick). It was a very exciting match & proves to the fans that while the Kings of Wrestling may be heavyweights, we can keep up with smaller & faster opponents. I hope this match airs on television!

Once we arrived back in Hiroshima for a day off, Claudio & I walked to the Hiroshima Peace Park. The Museum was closed but we spent a good amount of time at the Atomic Bomb Dome. Very impressive & surreal. I don't have a great knowledge of World War II but I've done a bit of research since. It was a very sad time. My Grandfather served in the US Military during WWII. My Grandmother is German & they met in Germany during the war. It's very strange to think about that time in history. I am thankful that I've grown up & lived after those conflicts. Of course there are numerous tragedies that have occurred during my life but none have touched me as directly as the second World War would have. I am a peaceful person so the concept of war really baffles me. I find that most of my close friends are like-minded. I am optimistic for the future. I am also glad that Claudio & I get to travel so extensively. It helps up to be openminded & we appreciate our lives even more.

Today I will team with Taue! I will wear my red KoW trunks to match him. The Dynamic Heroes? Claudio has a singles match against Mohammed Yone. I think Yone is underrated. He is normally in tag teams, but I have faced him in singles competition. I know he is very dangerous one-on-one. It's important that Claudio & I head into Budokan with the momentum from victories. By the time you read this, the matches will have happened & we will be preparing for our GHC title match at Budokan. Many people keep wishing us luck. I appreciate it but I don't think luck is necessary in this case. We just need to stay focused & remember the hard work that brought us to this point. Ten months ago, the Kings of Wrestling ended the Global Tag League with zero points. Sunday we head to Tokyo to challenge for the GHC Tag Team Championship. A lot can happen over the course of a year. Thank you for the support! We will make you proud.

名古屋から京都へ

今、赤いバスの車内でこれを書いています。名古屋から京都に向かっています。昨日の大会はすばらしかった！興行はクラウディオが健介オフィスのレスラー、起田高志選手に勝った試合からスタートしました。僕は起田選手とは去年ディファ有明でシングルマッチで対戦しました。彼はとても力強い。アメリカンフットボールの経験があるから、フットボーラーの体格をしています。実は僕も若いころにフットボールをやっていました。10歳で初めて、高校の終わりの18歳までやりました。攻撃と防御のラインを主に経験しました。高校3年ではタイトエンドのポジションを経験しました。あれは今までやったスポーツの中で一番楽しかった。でも、フットボールではあまり成功しませんでした。たぶん、フットボールに対して情熱がなかったからでしょう。優秀な選手になれる素質があったと今では思いますが、あの頃はそれに気づきませんでした。ちょっと残念だけど、おかげでプロレスに出会えて本当に幸運に思います。プロレスへの情熱は日々強くなるばかりです。日常生活でプロレス以外まったく何もしないというわけではないけれど、プロレスのすべてが好きなんです。プロレスをやっていてきついこともあるけど、自分が得るものと比べたらそんなの何でもないんです。みんなも情熱を燃やせるようなことを見つけて、それに向かっていってください。プロレスがなかったら、僕は途方に暮れてしまいます。

話が脱線しました！

上記のとおり、クラウディオは起田選手に勝ちました。クラウディオはミリタリー・プレス・スラム、フォール・アウェイ・スラム、アルパメア・ウォータースライド、チョークスラム、そして決め技のリコラボムなどさまざまなパワー殺法を使いました。彼のラリアットは今年ものすごい威力を増しました。クラウディオが武道館の対戦相手をどう料理するか楽しみです。僕はクラウディオが高山をリコラボムで叩きつけると予想しています。

僕は名古屋での佐々木健介戦をとても楽しみにしていました。健介選手の試合は子どもの頃、WCWで見たのを覚えています。パワーウォリアーはかっこいいといつも思っていました。川田利明選手との一連の試合も見ました。健介選手はみんなに尊敬されているコーチでもあります。中嶋選手、起田選手、宮原選手などとの関係を見れば明らかです。（ついでに宮原選手についてですが、彼はいつかビッグスターになると思っています。）

名古屋では自信を持ってリングで健介選手と対峙しました。彼の実績を考えたら緊張してしまうかもしれませんが、自分の試合運びに集中しました。今年序盤のグローバルタッグリーグで、クラウディオと僕が健介・森嶋組に勝ちそうになった試合も思い出していました。相手がどれだけ経験豊富でも、激しいトレーニングをして自分のすべてを捧げれば、最高峰の選手とでも対等に戦えるということです。昨晩の名古屋では自分のすべてをぶつけることができたことを誇りに思います。健介選手はおそらく30発くらいチョップをぶつけてきたでしょう。それでも僕は立ち向かいました。空中殺法とものすごいビッグブーツ、エルボーで僕はファンの心をつかみました。ファンが金星を望んでいることが感じられました。健介選手は僕の蹴りをものすごいラリアットで返し、僕をノックダウン寸前まで追い込みました。去年の夏の潮崎戦以来最も激しいラリアットだったと思います。空中で一回転して顔面からマットにたたきつけられました。レフリーがカウントツーを数えたのがかすかに聞こえたので、本能でカウントスリーの前にキックアウトしました。しかし、とどめのノーザンライトボムで健介選手が勝利しました。試合に負けたのはくやしいけれど、自分のすべてを捧げました。そして、繰り返しになりますが、世界最高峰のレスラーであり、元GHC、IWGPチャンピオンの佐々木健介選手に勝てそうな場面もあったのです。健介選手は僕が立ち上がるのを支えて、握手をしてくれました。なんと光栄なことでしょう。

クラウディオは今ツアー、いまだ負けなしです。今夜は僕たちはタッグで杉浦貴・斉藤彰俊組と対戦します。これはタイトルに向けての重要な試練です。杉浦選手は現GHCヘビー級チャンピオンだし、斉藤選手はGHCタッグチャンピオンに何度も君臨しています。でも、この試合に勝てると信じています。勝利を祈ってください！

Nagoya --> Kyoto

I'm sitting on the Red bus right now & we're on our way from Nagoya to　Kyoto. Last night's show was wonderful! Claudio started off the night right with a strong victory over Kensuke Office wrestler Takashi Okita. I had a singles with Okita last year at Differ. He's very strong. He has the build of a Football player so it's logical that he used to play American football. I used to play Football when I was young. I started in 4th grade (age 10) and I played all the way through my Senior year (age 18). I was mostly on the offensive & defensive line. My senior year I moved to Tight End & that was the most fun I had in the sport. I was an underachiever when it came to football. I guess it was because I didn't really have the passion for it. I had the potential to be exceptional but I never realized that potential. It's a frustrating thought but I am very fortunate to have discovered my passion for wrestling. This is a passion that has only gotten stronger over the years. It's not that I don't have a life outside of wrestling, I just enjoy every aspect of wrestling. Even the difficulties seem irrelevent when I weigh it against the positives. I encourage all of you to discover what your passion & find your own way to follow that passion. I would be lost without mine.

I digress!

As I was saying, Claudio defeated Okita. He used a wide variety of power moves (as always): Military Press Slam, Fall Away Slam, Alpamare Waterslide, Choke Slam & the Ricola Bomb to get the victory. His Lariat has also gotten incredibly strong over this year. I look forward to seeing how he handles our opponents at Budokan. I predict a Ricola Bomb on Takayama. I was very excited for my match with Kensuke Sasaki. I remember watching Kensuke in WCW as a child. I always thought Power Warrior was cool. I also remember watching his series of matches with Toshiaki Kawada. Kensuke is also an admirable mentor, which is obvious by his relationships with Nakajima, Okita & Miyahara. Speaking of, I believe Miyahara will be a big star someday.

I stepped into the ring with Sasaki feeling very confident. If I started to think about his accomplishments, I might have become nervous, so I focused on my gameplan instead. I also remembered how close Claudio & I came to defeating the team of Kensuke & Morishima earlier this year in Yokohama for the Global Tag League. It just goes to show that no matter how much experience your opponents have, if you train hard & give your all, you can stand toe to toe with the best. I
am proud to say that last night in Nagoya I gave everything I had. Kensuke must have chopped me 30 times, but I kept coming back for him. I won the crowd over with some impressive agility and my vicious boots & elbow strikes. I could feel that the fans were sensing an upset. Sasaki nearly knocked me out of my boots with a tremendous Lariat. This was perhaps the hardest I've been hit since my match last summer at Korakuen versus Go Shiozaki. I flipped to the mat, landing on my face. All I heard was the referee yell TWO so my instincts helped me kick out before the count of three. One Northern Lights Bomb later, Kensuke secured the victory. As disappointing as the loss was, I know that I gave my all & once again, I was very close to defeating Kensuke Sasaki, former GHC champion, former IWGP champion, one of the best in the world. Kensuke helped lift me up after the match & shook my hand. What an honor.

Claudio continues to be undefeated this tour. Tonight we wrestle the team of Takashi Sugiura & Akitoshi Saito. This is a true test. Sugiura is the current GHC champion & Saito is a multiple time GHC Tag Team champion. I am optimistic for the challenge. Wish us luck! Thank you for reading friends! See you at the shows.

山形での石森選手とのシングルマッチも自分をテストするいい機会だった。僕はヘビー級だけど、ジュニアヘビーのスタイルも好きなので、試合の序盤では自分のスピードと空中殺法を見せることができた。自分はスピードのある選手だと思っているけれど、石森選手はもっと早い。試合がはじまって早くも場外に飛んでくる石森をかわそうとする自分がいました。徐々に攻撃とパワーで試合を支配し始めたけど、石森はスプリングボードドロップキックでやり返してきました。スワントンボムとスーパースターセントーンはすごく効いた。ライガーボムで石森の動きを止め、最後は前回言及したKTFO・パニックボタンエルボーで試合を決めました。同じ大会の試合ではクラウディオがリッキー・マルビンにリコラボムで勝利しました。すばらしい試合だった！

昨日の夜はザ・グレート・カブキさんのお店で晩御飯を食べることができました。料理はおいしく、カブキさんはまさにレジェンドレスラーです。カブキさんはいろいろな話を惜しみなくしてくれました。カブキさんと座って食事ができることは大変光栄です。みんなも機会があったら、カブキさんのお店に食事に行ってみてください。

今日は重要な日でした。僕たちは興奮状態で後楽園ホールに向かいました。後楽園のファンにはいつもわくわくさせられます。試合が激しくなると、観客からのエネルギーがレスラーの気持ちをさらに盛り上げます。去年の夏の僕の潮崎戦や今年1月の8人タッグの試合を思い出します。後楽園のファンのために試合をするのが大好きです。

今日はまずGHCタッグタイトル戦の調印式がリング上でありました。高山はクラウディオと僕をGHCタイトルの強力な挑戦者だと思っていないようです。高山・佐野組が自信に満たされているのは分かります。彼らはものすごい経験と実績があるからです。でも、もしクラウディオと僕が世界最高峰のタッグチームでなかったら、そもそもこうして日本にいるわけがありません。もし高山・佐野組が自信過剰となったら、僕たちKings of Wrestlingにとっていいチャンスです。

今日の6人タッグマッチ（高山、佐野、石森組vsクラウディオ、ヒーロー、デリリアス組）では、すばらしい合体技を石森にかけることができました。そして、石森を赤コーナーのチャンピオン二人投げ飛ばしました。真剣な闘いでした。僕たちは高山、佐野組を全力で攻撃しました。彼らはクラウディオと僕がタイトルを奪取できるパワーと決意を持っていることを知らなければなりません。試合の後半になって、デリリアスが石森に対して攻勢となり、高山、佐野の目の前でクラウディオが石森をリコラボムで打ち負かしました。武道館のタイトルマッチはもうすぐです。僕たちがGHCタッグチャンピオンになる準備は万端です。

今夜はクラウディオ、デリリアスと僕は友人と食事をしました。楽しくリラックスしたひとときでした。数日のオフを楽しんだ後、5連戦です。名古屋と京都に向かいます。名古屋と京都はすばらしい都市です。

KORAKUEN HALL

The singles match with Ishimori was another good test. Although I am a heavyweight, I enjoy the junior heavyweight style so in the beginning of the match I was able to display my speed and agility. I think I am quick, but Ishimori is much quicker. Soon I found myself on the arena floor ducking away from a suicide dive. I started to dominate with strikes & power moves but Ishimori defended with a Springboard Dropkick. A Swanton Bmb & a Superstar Senton really knocked the wind out of me. I was able to stop Taiji with a Lyger Bomb and I pinned him after the KTFO/Panic Button Elbow. Earlier on the show, Claudio defeated Ricky Marvin with a Ricola Bomb. Great match!

Last night we were able to eat dinner at the Great Kabuki's restaurant. The food is good and Kabuki is a legend. He does not mind telling stories to us and it is an honor to share a table with him for dinner. If you have an opportunity, you should visit his restaurant for a bite to eat.

Today was very important. We entered Korakuen full of excitement. The crowd there is always electric. When a hard match is going on, the energy from the crowd pushes you further. I remember my match versus Shiozaki from last summer and an 8-man tag from this past January. I love performing for the fans at Korakuen.

We entered the ring to sign the contract for the GHC Title match. It seems to me that Takayama do not take Claudio & I serious as challengers for their titles. I can understand why they would be confident... They are very accomplished wrestlers and are incredibly experienced. However, Claudio & myself would not be in Japan right now if we were not one of the best tag teams in the world. Their confidence is turning to arrogance and I think that will be a good advantage for the Kings of Wrestling.

In the 6man tag team match, we demonstrated a spectacular tag team maneuver on Taiji Ishimori then threw him into the red corner to tag in the champions. This is serious. We attacked Takayama & Sano with all of our strength. It is important that they know that Claudio and I have the power and determination to take their titles. As the match continued, Delirious outwrestled Taiji Ishimori and as the Champions watched, Claudio got the pin with a Ricola Bomb. It is only a matter of time until Budokan. We are ready to become the GHC tag champions.

Tonight, Claudio, Delirious & myself had dinner with friends. It was nice and relaxing. We look forward to the next days off and then prepare for 5 straight shows. Nagoya and Kyoto will be on the schedule. Both wonderful cities.

今回のツアーではシングルマッチが4試合ありますが、今日は仙台でその1試合目がありました。対戦相手はメキシコのハイフライヤー、リッキー・マルビンでした。日本のプロレスを見始めたころに買ったのが、リッキーの出場した2000年のスーパーJカップ（*1　脚注、以下参照）のビデオでした。これがリッキーとの出会いでした。彼は若く、エネルギーにあふれていて、当時は髪も長かったのです。彼はトルニーロを得意とし、最初の対戦相手であるCIMAになんどもこの技をかけました。リッキーの空中殺法に僕は魅了されました。彼は元々、軽快なルチャドーラでした。以降、ヨーロッパ中で活躍し、今は日本が自分のホームだといっています。NOAHでの活躍は、彼のためになりました。僕は本音で、彼が現在のオールラウンドの最高レベルのレスラーだと思っています。リッキーとは2007年の武道館での6人タッグをはじめとして、なんどもタッグを組みました。ですので、今日は自分の実力を試すいい機会だと思い、彼との対戦を楽しみにしていました。僕は最近シングルよりタッグの試合のほうが多いですけれど、自分は今でも優れたシングルプレイヤーでもあると思っています。（もちろん、クラウディオもそうです。だからこそ、僕たちはすばらしいタッグチームなのです。）

試合はグラウンドの攻防から始まり、リッキーはヘッドシザースとトペで主導権を握りました。しかし、僕は体の大きさとひざ蹴り（高山よ見てるか！）で主導権を握り返しました。リッキーは更なるヘッドシザースとハリケーンラナで勝利に近づきました。しかし、僕はパニックボタン・KTFO（*2　脚注、以下参照）でカウント3に近づきました。リッキーのスーパーキックは僕の動きを止めたけど、リッキーがふらふらしてきたのを狙って、投げ飛ばしてローリングエルボー2連発（*3　脚注、以下参照）でぶちのめしました。試合は想像以上に長引いたけど、勝利を誇りに思います。

その次の試合はクラウディオvs谷口でした。僕たちはときどき谷口を「谷グッチ（Gucci）」と呼びます。彼がグッチの高級な服とサングラスで入場したら笑えるかも？谷口は表参道ヒルズにでも行って、グッチにスポンサーになってもらったらどうでしょう？（笑）さてさて、クラウディオは谷口相手に奮闘しました。強烈な音のするヨーロッピアンアッパーカットを何度かヒットさせました。谷口はなんども反撃しましたが、グッドラック・ラリアットのあとUFO（未確認対戦相手式ショルダースピン）とリコラボム（ピラミッド式クロスアーム・パワーボム）で勝利をもぎ取りました。というわけで、今回のツアーでは我がKing of Wrestlingは今のところ無敗です。

ファンのみなさんから素敵なプレゼントをいただきました。感謝いたします。日本でプロレスができるだけでうれしいのに、思いがけないプレゼントをいただけるなんでありがたいことです。今回のツアーでもっとたくさんのファンと会えることを楽しみにしています！僕に会いたかったら、売店に来てください。僕のオリジナルのTシャツ（緑と白黒）を売っています。次の大会では、クラウディオはリッキーとシングルマッチで闘い、僕は石森太二選手とシングルで闘います。これは大阪以来のリマッチとなります。太二と僕は共通の師匠、スカイドこと、ホーヘー・リベラがいます。ですので、いつも彼とリングで交えるのは楽しみにしています。

*1　2000年のJ-Cupの出場者のうち、これまで僕は6人と対戦してきました。マルビン、リッキーフジ、怨霊、MEN'Sテイオー、カレーマン、そして、佐野直喜（巧真）です。
*2　相手が頭を下げたところで後頭部を押し付けます。遠心力で相手の頭が持ち上がってくるところを僕がローリングして、エルボーをします。頭が持ち上がってきたところに強烈なエルボーが来るので、その前の後頭部を押し付ける動きが、パニックボタンを押す動きに似ているというわけです。タイミングが難しいですが、僕はこの動きを何度も何度も練習してきました。
*3　これをローリングエルボーX2と呼んでいます。一発目のエルボーを打ったら、動きを止めずにすぐに二発目を与えます。相手がなかなか倒れないときにこの技を使います。

Singles Competition

Tonight, in Sendai, I had the first of my four singles matches this tour. I wrestled Mexican high flyer, Ricky Marvin.

When I first started watching Japanese wrestling videos, one of the tapes I purchased was Super J Cup 2000*. This is the first time I saw Ricky Marvin. He was young, full of energy & had long hair back then. His specialty was the Tornillo & he managed to pull off the maneuver many times against his first round opponent, CIMA. I was impressed by Ricky's high flying techniques.

Ricky was originally an aerial Luchador. He has since wrestled all over Europe and now calls Japan his home. Working for NOAH has helped him step his game up & I honestly feel he is one of the best overall wrestlers today. I've teamed with Ricky a number of times & even opposed him in a 6-man tag at Budokan Hall (2007). I was really looking forward to testing myself against him in a singles match. Nowadays I have more tag matches than singles, but I still consider myself an excellent singles performer (as does Claudio. That's what makes us such a formidable team).

The match started with some mat wrestling & Ricky was able to capitalize with a headscissors & a tope. Soon, I used my size & some knee attacks (Hello Takayama) to gain the advantage. Ricky found his way back to some headscissors & hurricanranas and nearly pinned me. I used my Panic Button/KTFO** to nearly get the 3. A Super Kick stopped me in my tracks but as Ricky staggered, I spun around & blasted him with 2 consecutive Rolling Elbows***. It took more than I expected to defeat him but that way I can be proud of the victory.

Next was Claudio v. Taniguchi. Sometimes we call him Tani-Gucci. Wouldn't it be funny to picture him coming to the ring in expensive clothes & sunglasses? Maybe he can go to Omote Sando Hills and request a Gucci sponsorship. =) Anyway... Claudio really took it to Taniguchi. There were several loud European Uppercuts. Taniguchi fought back many times, but after the "Good Luck" Lariat, a UFO (Unidentified Flying Opponent) & a Ricola Bomb (Pyramid/cross-armed Powerbomb), Claudio picked up the victory. So far, the Kings of Wrestling are undefeated this tour.

I have gotten some lovely presents this tour and I thank everyone. It's nice enough to be wrestling in Japan, the gifts are unexpected and very generous. I look forward to seeing more fans this tour! The next show, Claudio will wrestle Ricky Marvin & I have a singles against Taiji Ishimori. This is a rematch from Osaka. ** - as my opponent is bent over, I stomp the back of his head. The momentum pushes him back up and as I roll around, I connect with an Elbow Strike. The stomp to the back of his head is like "pressing" a button because as soon as he straightens up, I elbow him. The timing is tricky but I have trained this maneuver very extensively.
*** - I call this Rolling Elbow X2. After I hit the first, I continue the motion without stopping and connect a second time. This is for when I'm having trouble knocking an opponent over.

GHCタッグチャンピオンとの初遭遇

今晩、プロレスリングNOAHは埼玉で興行を開催しました。今日の試合は激しかったです。6人タッグのメインイベントで、クラウディオ・カスタニョーリ、バイソン・スミスと組んで谷口周平と現GHCタッグチャンピオンの高山善廣、佐野巧真組と対戦しました。このツアーの最終戦の武道館で僕とクラウディオがGHCタッグに挑戦するので、今日の試合はその前哨戦でした。今回が8度目の来日になります。日本で100試合近く闘ってきましたが、今回の武道館でのタイトルマッチは僕とクラウディオにとって今までで一番重要な試合となります。

今夜の試合はすばらしく進みました。僕たちはユニークな合体技を見せつけることができました。高山、佐野のパワーと老獪さに負けず、谷口を投げつけて、必殺技KRS-1でマットにたたきつけました。レフリーがカウント3を数えたとき、王者組の驚いた表情が見えました。彼らは僕たちを見くびっていたんじゃないでしょうか。でも、この試合の後僕たちを見くびるようなことできないでしょう。王者組は僕たちがチームワークですばやく試合に勝てることがわかったはずです。谷口は持ち前のファイティングスピリットで僕のKTFOエルボーを跳ね返しましたが、我がThe King of Wrestlingは彼には強すぎる相手でした。

ツアーは始まったばかりです。明日（宮城）、明後日（山形）で僕のシングルマッチが組まれています。宮城ではリッキー・マルビン、山形では石森太二と闘います。彼らはジュニアヘビーだけど、危険な相手です。彼らはスピードと空中殺法、固め技で試合をすばやく決められる実力を持っています。今夜の大会でマルビンは中嶋に対していつも以上に蹴りを多用していました。彼のキックをできるだけブロックして、必殺のエルボーで試合を決めます。どうやってエルボーを決めるかって？それは誰にも予測できません！だからこそいつも激しい練習をしているのです。ありとあらゆる状態からエルボーを決める自信がある。僕はいま最高のパワーを秘めています。タイトルマッチに向けて今まで一番の集中力をキープしています。今、誰が相手でも試合に負ける気がしません。

今夜の試合では僕たちの新しい入場曲を使いました。才能あふれる友人Cody Bの作った僕たちのオリジナルの曲です。曲名はKoW(Kings)といって、ここで聞くことができます。ファンのみんなにお願いがあります。僕たちの入場曲のコーラスの部分がはじまったら、僕たちと一緒に

First Encounter with the GHC Tag Team Champions

Tonight, Pro-Wrestling NOAH traveled to Saitama. Today was a tough challenge as myself, Claudio Castagnoli & Bison Smith faced Shuhei Taniguchi & the current GHC World Tag Team Champions Yoshihiro Takayama & Takuma Sano in the Main Event. This was a bit of a warm up for the Kings of Wrestling (Claudio & I) because at the end of this tour, we will challenge for those GHC titles at Budokan Hall. This is my 8th trip to Japan. I've had nearly 100 matches here and the fight at Budokan will be the biggest match that Claudio & I have had up until now. Tonight was a great return. We displayed some of our unique double team maneuvers. We did not let the strength & experience of Takayama & Sano defeat us. Instead, we were able to life Taniguchi into the air & drop him to the mat with the KRS-1. As the referee counted to 3, I could see the look in the Champions' eyes. Perhaps they underestimated us. They will not make that mistake again. Now they know how quickly & easily we can end a match with our teamwork. Taniguchi was about to use his fighting spirit to kick out of my KTFO Elbow, but the Kings of Wrestling were too strong for him this
evening. We are just getting started.

I have two singles matches in the next two days (Miyagi & Yamagata). I will face Ricky Marvin & Taiji Ishimori, respectively. They are Junior Heavyweights but they are dangerous. A match with them can end almost immediately due to their speed, high flying and pinning combinations. I also noticed tonight that Ricky utilized more kicks than usual against Nakajima. I will do my best to defend against those kicks & it will be an elbow strike that defeats Mr. Marvin. How will I hit it? You never know! That's why I have trained so extensively. I can literally connect with an elbow strike from any predicament. I feel powerful. With this title shot in the near future, we are more focused than ever and I don't think we can lose right now.

Tonight was also the first time we have used our new entrance theme in Japan. The song was custom made for us by a very talented friend of mine. His name is Cody B. Ware & the song is called KoW (Kings). I have a favor to ask of you, the fans. When you hear our music, wait for the chorus & chant along with us.

やあ、みんな！昨日記者会見で発表されたので知っていると思うけれど、クラウディオと僕（The Kings of Wrestling）が今月の終わりに日本に再来日することが決まりました。前回の来日は今年1月のグローバルタッグリーグのツアーでした。あの時はクラウディオと僕がタッグを再結成したばかりでした。トーナメントでは勝てなかったけど、技能賞を頂いたことを大変誇りに思っています。この賞を刺激に一生懸命特訓して、1ヵ月後にはROH世界タッグ王者となりました。それ以降、9回の防衛戦を全勝してきました。

もし1月のツアーで僕たちのタッグを気に入ってくれたのだったら、今月末の再来日を楽しみにしていてください！The Kings of Wrestlingは今まで以上のコンビネーション、より強力な攻撃、そしてこれまでで最高のモティベーションをもって日本にやってきます。僕たちをここまで応援し続けてくれてありがとう。ノアのツアーを通じてみんなが僕たちのファンでよかったと思えるような試合をします。

Hello everyone! I guess by now you know that Claudio & myself (the Kings of Wrestling) will be returning to Japan later this month. Our last tour was in January at the Global Tag League & at the time, Claudio & I had just started teaming again. We were unsuccessful in the tournament but we did acquire the Ginou Sho award, something we were incredibly proud to accomplish. This gave us the motivation to work harder and one month later we were able to capture the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Since then we have successfully defended those titles 9 times.

If you thought we were a good tag team in January, just wait until we return this month! We have more combinations, stronger attacks & greater motivation than ever. Thank you to everyone that has supported us along the way. Through this tour for Pro-Wrestling NOAH you will be proud to be fans of ours.

アッー！時はあっというまに過ぎるというのは本当だね。この日本のブログを更新してから何ヶ月もたってしまいました。ずっと僕のことを忘れずに応援してくれてありがとう。前の更新の頃、クラウディオとROH世界タッグを奪取しました。あれから半年近くたったけど、僕たちはまだタイトルを保持しています。ブリスコ兄弟、モーターシティーマシンガンズ、ヤングバックス（ジェネレーションミー）、そして最近では「プロレス史上最高のタッグチーム」ことチャーリー・ハースとシェルトン・ベンジャミンなどのタッグチームと激しい闘いを繰り広げてきました。次々と挑戦者が現れましたが、今も僕たちがベルトを保持しています。現在のプロレス界で、自分たちが最高のタッグチームだと本当に思えます。

PWG世界王者のデイビー・リチャーズに負けてしまったけど、シングルのレスラーとしても活躍しています。リチャーズとの試合は激しかった。踵を試合中に怪我してしまい、そこを突かれて負けてしまった。それから、PWGのバトルオブロサンゼルスのトーナメントでは、クリストファー・ダニエルズ（カレーマン）、ドラゴンゲートの戸澤陽、ブランドン・ギャットソンを倒し決勝に勝ち進みました。しかし、決勝ではジョーイ・ライアンに負けてしまった。戸澤選手との試合は僕の年間最高試合かもしれません。試合の映像を見る機会があったら、是非見てください！自分のお気に入りの試合です。戸澤選手は自分より小さいけれど、ハートとファイティングスピリットを見せてくれました。彼の能力に敬意を表します。

2010年はすばらしい年となっています。日本には2011年になる前に戻れたらと思っています。日本でたくさんやりたいことがある！すばらしい試合ができる選手が日本にはたくさんいます。そして、日本語を続けて勉強する刺激が欲しい！日本でまた会えるまでに、僕の活躍をみんなに追っていただける方法を以下に紹介します。

hard fought matches with the Briscoes, the Motor City Machine Guns,
Generation Me/Young Bucks & most recently "Wrestling's Greatest Tag
Team" Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin. We have been tested by many
teams, but we still hold the titles. I honestly feel that we are the
best current tag team in all of wrestling.

My singles career is thriving aside from a loss to PWG World Champion
Davey Richards. It was a very difficult match. I injured my ankle
mid-match and Davey was able to capitalize on it for the victory.
After that in PWG I defeated Christopher Daniels (Curry Man), Akira
Tozawa (Dragon Gate) & Brandon Gatson on my way to the Finals of the
Battle of Los Angeles, I lost in the Finals to Joey Ryan. The match
with Tozawa may have been my best match all year. I encourage you to
watch this match if you have the ability to do so! I liked it very
much. Tozawa may be smaller than I am but he showed his heart and
fighting spirit. I respect his abilities.

2010 has been a great year for me and I hope a return to Japan before
2011 is possible. There is so much more I want to do! There are many
wrestlers I can have great matches with and I need motivation to
continue learning Japanese! There are many ways for you to follow my
career until I come back to Japan. Here are a few.

この文章をウェストバージニアに向かうの車のバックシートで書いています。今夜はIWAイーストコーストの興行に出場します。僕はサプライズとして登場するのですが、みんながこのブログを読むまでには登場し終えているのでここに書いても大丈夫です。IWAイーストコーストは大日本プロレスでおなじみのマッドマン・ポンドの所属団体です。ポンドとは1999年に出会い、お互いいい友達でいます。彼は、僕の初来日となった2004年の大日本のツアーの参加を計画してくれました。IWAイーストコースではディック東郷とラダーマッチで戦ったこともあります。これは僕のプロレスラー生活での重要な試合のひとつです。試合のミュージックビデオが見られます。

ドイツでの週末の３興行はすばらしかった！どれだけすばらしかったかをぴったりな言葉で説明するのができないくらいです。ドイツではほぼ連続して8年間に渡って試合をしています。ドイツのファンは僕の成長を見続けていて、登場するとすごく応援してくれるのです。wXwの興行はたいてい小さめのディスコ風のクラブで行われるので、ファンは全員入りきるようにリングサイドまでびっしりかぶりつきで観戦します。たくさんの日本人がwXwで闘ってきました。三沢、小橋、丸藤、潮崎、CIMA、関本、などなど。今回は毎年恒例の16カラットという16人参加のシングルのトーナメントの大きな大会でした。一回戦ではドイツ人レスラーのバッド・ボーンズをデスブロー（オリジナルのエルボー）で倒すことができました。２日目の２回戦ではイギリスのレスラー、マーティン・ストーンと闘いました。ヒーローズウェルカム（オリジナルのネックブリーカー）でなんとか勝ちました。３日目は準決勝で、僕の弟子であるスイス人レスラーのアレスと闘いました。彼はかつてノアのツアーに参加し、小橋さんとドイツでもシングルで対戦しました。あれはすごかった！アレスを倒すのは難しかったです。ヒーローズウェルカムを切り返されたので、エルボーを当ててからさらにローリングエルボーで勝つことができました。これによってトーナメントの決勝に進むことができました。ドイツでは入場曲としてボニー・タイラーの「Holding Out For a Hero（邦題：ヒーロー）」を以前使っていました。ドイツのファンはこの曲が大好きで、僕が登場すると同時に、この歌を声を上げて歌うんです。でも、前回の日本でのツアーからコスチュームと入場曲をがらりと変えました。新しい曲はヴァイロ・ザ・ヴァイルスの「Chris Is Awesome（クリスは最高）」に変更しました。

ドイツのファンは続けて応援してくれたけど、入場曲が変わったことは残念がっていました。だから、決勝戦でオーストリアのレスラー、ビッグ・ヴァン・ウォルターと対戦するときは、サプライズとして昔の青と白のコスチュームを着てボニー・タイラーの曲で入場しました！ファンは大興奮！レスラー生活の中でもっとも誇りに思える瞬間で、ファンの応援が優勝に導いてくれると確信しました。でも、ヴァン・ウォルターは強すぎた。彼はパワーボムで僕を仕留めたんです。ウォルターはZERO1の道場でトレーニングを受けて、「ガチャピン」という名前で闘った選手です。ガチャピンとは笑っちゃうキャラだったけど、彼はあれから成長してとても強いレスラーになった。彼はいつかまた日本に戻ることになるでしょう。

最終戦の後は、幸運なことにこのブログの翻訳者であるユウジンと会うことができた！オーバーハウゼンの駅まで行って、そこからデュッセルドルフまで行き、ディナーと会話を楽しみました。日本のプロレスやヨーロッパとアメリカの文化の違いなどについて話せて楽しかったです。プロレスのすばらしいことはいろんな所に行けること！そのことによって人の行動や、人の生きざまといった、人間の理解が深まります。人はみんなそれぞれ違いがあって、でも、深い部分ではみんな一緒なんです。僕は人と出会い、人と過ごせる時間を大事に思います。

アメリカに戻ったらすぐ、wXw初のアメリカ興行と新団体EVOLVEの興行での試合の準備をしなければなりませんでした。wXwの興行ではアレックス・シェリーと闘いました。彼には複雑なコンビネーションのピンフォールでやられました。EVOLVEのメインイベントでは日高郁人と30分以上に渡って闘いました。2発のハイキックでノックアウトされ、ピンフォールされてしまいました。日高選手との試合は難しかった。負けたのは残念だけど、自分のレスリングには満足しています。この二つの試合には生涯最高のコンディションで望めました。トレーニングを怠らず、日本に戻るのを楽しみにしています！

今週末はROHのデトロイトの大会でデイヴィー・リチャーズとエディー・エドワーズと組んでタイラー・ブラック、ブリスコ兄弟組と対戦します。ROHのトロント大会ではエル・ジェネリコとシングルで対戦です。その次の週はROHがフェニックス（アリゾナ州）で大会を開催します。近くでWWEの年間最大の大会、レッスルマニアも観られるので、ROHのフェニック大会にも登場することになりそうです。友人でありライバルでもあるWWEのCMパンクと会うのを楽しみにしています。CMパンクvs.ヒーローのよく知られた試合がこちらで観られます。

そのまた次の週、4月3日はROHがノースカロライナ州のシャーロットで初の大会を開催し、インターネットのペーパービュー用に収録されます。インターネットのペーパービューということは、日本のみんなもネットで注文して、生中継で観られるということです。こちらgofightlive.tv で注文することができます。クラウディオと僕はブリスコ兄弟のROH世界タッグ選手権に挑戦します。この試合には勝てる予感がします。KRS-1を食らわせて、2度目のタッグタイトル戴冠を達成したい。

I am typing this from the back seat of a car on my way to West Virginia. I have a show tonight for IWA East Coast. I am a surprise but by the time you read this, I will have already appeared on the show. IWA-EC is the home promotion of Big Japan gaijin Madman Pondo. I have known Pondo since 1999. He has been a good friend and was responsible for getting me booked for a tour of BJW in 2004, which was my first trip to Japan. Also, for IWA-EC, I had a ladder match with Dick Togo. My weekend in Germany was thrilling! It would be difficult to describe how amazing my time was in the perfect words. I have been wrestling in Germany, consistently, for 8 years now. The fans have seen me grow up and they are always very appreciative when I perform. At wXw, the venues we wrestle in are typically small discoteques so the fans had to move next to the ring to fit everyone in. Many Japanese wrestlers have competed for wXw. Misawa, Kobashi, Marufuji, Shiozaki, CIMA, Sekimoto, etc... This was their annual 16 Carat tournament and I had a lot to prove. In the first round I was able to defeat German wrestler Bad Bones with the Death Blow. The next night I wrestled UK wrestler Martin Stone and I had to use the Hero's Welcome to secure the victory. The 3rd day, my first match was against my student and Swiss wrestler, Ares. He toured once for NOAH and was able to have a singles match with Kobashi-san in Germany. It was amazing! Ares was difficult to defeat. He countered my Hero's Welcome, I countered with an immediate Elbow and then hit another Rolling Elbow for the victory. This allowed me to enter the finals.

Previously in Germany I had come out to the entrance song "HoldingOut For A Hero" by Bonnie Tyler. My fans loved this and they would sing the song loudly as I came to the ring. The fans continued to support me although they were sad that I had changed my music. As a surprise for the fans, I came to the finals (against Austrian wrestler Big Van Walter) wearing my old Blue and White costume and to the Bonnie Tyler song! The fans went wild! It was one of the proudest moments of my career, I really felt the fans could carry my to a victory in the finals but Walter was too strong for me. He pinned me after a Power Bomb. Walter spent time training in the Zero One dojo and wrestled as Gacha Ping. It was a silly character but now he has matured and become a very strong wrestler. I think he will come back to Japan eventually.

After the show, I was fortunate to meet up with Yujin, my blog translator! We journeyed to the train station, stopped in Dusseldorf and enjoyed some dinner and nice conversation. It was nice to chat about Japanese wrestling and the differences between European and American cultures. One of the best parts about wrestling is being able to go so many different places! It really gives you an understanding of people, how they act and why they are the way they are. You are able to see that while all people are different, deep down they're really the same. I cherish the ability to meet new friends and spend time with them.

After flying home I had to prepare for wXw's US debut show and my first show for EVOLVE. I ended up wrestling Alex Shelley at wXw and he defeated me with an intricate pinning combination. I went on to wrestle Ikuto Hidaka in the main event of EVOLVE for over 30 minutes. He pinned me after knocking me out with a two high kicks. It was a difficult match. I was disappointed to lose but I am proud of my performances. I ented these matches in the best shape of my life and I will continue to work hard, I can't wait to come back to Japan!

This weekend I will wrestle for Ring of Honor in Detroit (with Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards versus Tyler Black and the Briscoe Brothers) and in Toronto (versus El Generico). The week after I will wrestle again for ROH in Phoenix. It will be Wrestle Mania weekend so I will more than likely attend the show. I am looking forward to seeing my friend and great rival CM Punk. Claudio and I will challenge the Briscoes for the ROH World Tag Team titles. I have a good feeling about this match. I think Claudio and I will become 2 time champions after hitting the KRS-1.

やあ、みんな。みんなのヒーローでございます。日本は寒くないですか？アメリカほどじゃないといいんだけど。ペンシルバニア（アメリカ東海岸の州でニューヨークシティから車で2時間半の所）に6年近く住んでいるけど、今年の冬は今まででいちばんの大雪でした。4日間に渡って、1.5メーターも雪が積もったんです！写真を見てください。

雪がたくさん降るのはかまわないんだけど、普段の生活にいろいろと支障をきたします。私の好きな季節は夏の終わりと秋のはじめです。暖かいけど、暑すぎないから。

最近いくつもの試合に出場しました。きっとみんなどうだったか知りたいでしょう？ロサンゼルスでのROHの大会ではクラウディオ・カスタニョーリとThe American Wolves （エディー・エドワーズとデイヴィー・リチャーズのタッグ）と組んで、ヤングバックスとブリスコ兄弟の4人組と対決しました。エディーが関節技をヤングバックスにかけて勝利をもたらしました。全選手がうまく噛み合った8人タッグができ、クラウディオと私は新開発の合体技でお客さんを喜ばせることができました。

翌日はPWG（プロレスリングゲリラ）の大会の3ウェイマッチでロデリック・ストロングとロブ・ヴァン・ダムと対戦しました。スリーウェイマッチは動きが絶え間なくて難しい！タイミングを見計らってリングに上がって相手を攻撃しないといけません。しかも、もう一人の相手がどこにいるのか常に頭に入れておかないといけないんです。それを忘れると、まったくもって「ビックリ！」になってしまいます。ロブ・ヴァン・ダムがロデリックをファイブスター・フロッグスプラッシュで倒しました。ロブ・ヴァン・ダムは頻繁にプロレスをしていないにもかかわらず非常に優秀です。彼のキックはすごい！試合の後、私はPWG世界王者のケニー・オメガにタイトル戦を要求しました。私はPWG王座の過去最長のタイトル保持者です。あの王座を再び手に入れるのを楽しみにしています。

大会期間中、クラウディオと私は伝説のレスラー、スタン・ハンセンと話ができました。とても親切にしてくれました。彼はどうやら本をほぼ書き上げたようです。ハンセンがどんなことを書いたのか読むのが楽しみです！それから、獣神サンダーライガーとグレート・ムタにも会って話をしました。武藤サンに「麻布武藤」ですき焼きを楽しんだことを伝えたら、「日本にきたらまた寄ってね」といわれました。ライガーサンには、「いつかシングルマッチで対決しよう」と冗談半分いいました。ライガーサンは「タッグを組むほうがいい」といっていました。ライガーのコスチュームを身にまとったクリス・ヒーローなんてどうでしょうか？＝）ジェリコ？の「スーパーライガー」よりいいかな！

ROHとPWGの週末をかけたプロレスのコンベンションは大成功でした。ファンもレスラーに会ったり、ライブの試合を見ることができました。こういったプロレスのコンベンションにもっと参加していきたいです。

HDNetによるROHのフィラデルフィア大会のテレビ収録で、クラウディオと私はブラヴァド兄弟という新しいタッグチームと対戦しました。私たちはブラヴァド兄弟に軽く勝利しました。正直言って、彼らはまだ日本語で言う「シンジン（新人）」です。試合は短く、KRS-1で勝ちました。その後、テレビ用のメインイベントで私はジェイ・ブリスコとシングルマッチで対決しました。彼の弟がリングサイドにいて、私のセコンドのクラウディオ・カスタニョーリともめ出しました。私はジェイにデスブローで勝利することができました。非常に激しい試合でした。試合がアップロードされたらこのブログで紹介します。予定されていたフィラデルフィアでの二日目の大会は大雪でキャンセルされました。でも、その次の週末にはニューヨークシティのマンハッタンセンターでROHの大会がありました。私たちは再びブラヴァド兄弟と対戦しました。試合は前回よりやや長かったけど、またもやKRS-１で勝ちました。マンハッタンセンターのファンはThe Kings of Wrestlingの試合をまた見られることをとても喜んでいました。その試合後、私たちはROH世界タッグチーム王者のブリスコ兄弟を急襲しました。4月3日にノースカロライナ州のシャーロットでタイトル戦が決まりました。ブリスコ兄弟には、われわれがタイトルを奪取にかかることを知っておいてもらいたい。

この先さらにエキサイティングな試合が続きます。2月27日にはPWGに戻って、アレックス・シェリーとシングルマッチで闘います。3月5日から7日の週末はドイツのエッセンで闘います。私のドイツでのホーム、wXwで「16カラット」という16人のレスラーが参加するトーナメントに出場します。過去の出場者は、丸藤正道、関本大介、鷹木信吾、高岩竜一、潮崎豪、斉藤了、石森太二などです。今年は日本から関本、KAGETORA、岡林裕二、澤宗紀が出場します。私は2007年のトーナメントで優勝して、2008年は準決勝でブライアン・ダニエルソンに敗退しました。ドイツにはしばらく行っていないので、楽しみです。3月13日にはEVOLVEというアメリカの新団体に初登場します。ニュージャージー州のラーウェイで開催される大会で、私の対戦相手はなんと、日高郁人です。日高サンには会ったことがないけど、バトラーツ、ECW、Zero-Oneなどでの彼の試合をたくさん見てきました。非常にすばやく、テクニカルなレスラーです。ショーンキャプチャーには警戒しないといけない。彼も私の試合をたくさん見ているかも知れないけど、私との試合の準備をするなんて不可能です。私のスタイルは試合ごとに変化しているから。必殺技のひとつ、エルボーを叩き込むことになるでしょう。エルボーを食らったら、日高選手は頭が混乱して自分の名前が「ヒダカ・イクト」だか「ヒクト・イダカ」だかわからなくなっちゃうんじゃないかな。

Hey guys. It's your favorite Hero. I hope Japan isn't nearly as cold and snowy as it has been in the US. I've lived in Pennsylvania (East Coast, about a 2 1/2 hour drive from New York City) almost 6 years and this winter we've had the most snow I've experienced. Over 4 days, we had about 5 feet of snow! I will include pictures. I don't mind the excessive snow, but it makes everyday activities a little more difficult to accomplish. My favorite season is the time between late Summer and early Autumn. Warm, but not too hot.

I have had a few shows that I am sure you would like to be updated on.
At the ROH show in Los Angeles, the team of myself, Claudio Castagnoli and the American Wolves (Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards) defeated the Young Bucks & the Briscoe Brothers. Eddie got a submission victory over one of the Young Bucks. We had good chemistry as an 8-man unit and Claudio and I impressed the crowd with some of our new tag team maneuvers.

The following night I was in a 3 Way Dance with Roderick Strong and Rob Van Dam for PWG. Three way matches are difficult because there is so much action! You have to find the right moment to climb in the ring and attack your opponent and you always have to remember where the other opponent is. If you forget, you could be in for quite the "bikkuri"! RVD pinned Roderick after the Five Star Frog Splash. RVD does not wrestle regularly but he is still very capable. He kicks very hard! After the match I challenged PWG World champion Kenny Omega to a title match. I am the longest reigning PWG champion in history and I am looking forward to regaining the title.

During the weekend, Claudio and I were able to have a conversation with wrestling legend Stan Hansen. He was very kind to us and I believe he is almost finished writing a book. I am looking forward to seeing what he has to say! I also saw and spoke with both Jushin Liger and the Great Muta. I told Mutoh-san that I enjoyed the sukiyaki at his restaurant and he asked me to please come back the next time I'm in Japan. Liger-san and I joked about having a single match in the future. He said he would prefer to be on the same team. How would you feel about Chris Hero in a Liger Costume? =) Maybe better than Jericho!

The weekend was a great success for ROH and PWG as well as the many fans who were able to meet the wrestlers and experience the live shows. I look forward to being a part of more wrestling conventions.

Claudio and I wrestled a new tag team called the Bravado Brothers in Philadelphia at the HDNet TV tapings. We destroyed them but to be fair, they are shinjin. The match was short and we won with the KRS-1. Later in the evening, for a television main event, I had a singles match with Jay Briscoe. His brother was ringside and he got involved with my partner, Claudio Castagnoli. I was able to hit Jay with the Death Blow and gain the victory. The match was intense and when it becomes available on youtube I will post the link on here.

The following night in Philadelphia was cancelled due to the snow but the next weekend, ROH returned to the Manhattan Center in New York City. Once again we wrestled the Bravado Brothers. The match was slightly longer, but we defeated them once again with the KRS-1. The fans at the Manhattan Center were very excited to see the Kings of Wrestling once again. Later on in the show, we attacked the ROH World Tag Team champions, the Briscoes Brothers. We have a title shot April 3rd in Charlotte, NC and we wanted to let the Briscoes know that we are ready to take their titles.

I have some exciting matches coming up. On February 27th, I will return for PWG and take on Alex Shelley in a singles match. One the weekend of March 5-7, I will compete in Essen, Germany. My home promotion in Germany, wXw, will be holding a tournament called the 16 Carat. Previous competitors have been Naomichi Marufuji, Daisuke Sekimoto, Shingo Takagi, Tatsuhito Takaiwa, Go Shiozaki, Ryo Saito & Taiji Ishimori. This years Japanese guests are Sekimoto again, Kagetora, Yuki Okabayashi & Munenori Sawa. I won the first tournament in 2007 and lost in a semi final match in 2008 to Brian Danielson.

It's been awhile since I've been to Germany and I look forward to returning. On March 13th I make my debut for a new American promotion Called EVOLVE. The show takes place in Rahway, NJ and my opponent will be none other than Ikuto Hidaka. I have not met Hidaka-san before but I have seen many of his matches from BattlArts to ECW to Zero One. He is a very quick and technical wrestler and I must prepare for the Shawn Capture. He may have seen many of my matches too but there is no way for him to prepare for the match. My style is always different and I will be sure to land one of my signature Elbow strikes. After that, I have a feeling that he will think his name is Hikuto Idaka.

やあ、みんな！ご察しのとおり、アメリカに戻ってきました。でも、前に言ったとおり、このブログはアメリカからも時々更新していきます。ファンのみんなが本当によく読んでくれて、応援してくれるので、これが私にできるせめてものお礼です。

先週までのツアーを振り返ると、大成功だったと思います。プロレスでは、勝敗よりも重要なことが時としてあります。タッグリーグでは勝てませんでしたが、違った意味でのたくさんの勝利を得ました。一番の勝利は負けてもファンの心をつかんで、声援を得ることができたことです。Kings of Wrestlingを観た人たちは私たちがどれだけ一生懸命で、どれだけすごいことができるか分かったと思います。あとはここからより強くなるだけです。

帰りのフライトはすんなりといき、アメリカでの普段の生活とスケジュールに戻りました。旅行を頻繁にすると、通常の健康的な食生活や、ジムでのトレーニングとその他の活動のバランスを保つのがとても難しいです。帰宅したから今まで以上にトレーニングしないと！10年以上も世界中を回っていることもあって、幸いにも時差ぼけにならなくなりました。もちろん、旅から帰ってくるとくたくたになるけど、一晩熟睡すれば元通りになっちゃうんです。いいでしょう！

今週末はアメリカのプロレス界と私自身にとってものすごく重要な時です。ロサンジェルスで大きなコンベンションがあって、私の所属する二つのプロモーション、Ring of Honor (ROH)とPro Wrestling Guerrilla（PWG）が大会を開くのです。一日目はROHの主催興行で8人タッグに出場します。私はクラウディオと、NOAHでもおなじみのデイヴィー・リチャーズ、エディー・エドワーズと組んで、これまたNOAHでおなじみのブリスコ兄弟、TNA・ドラゴンゲートで活躍のヤングバックス組の4人と対戦します。二日目はPWG主催の大会で、NOAHで知られるロデリック・ストロング、WWEのスーパースター、ロブ・ヴァン・ダムと３ウェイマッチで闘います！楽しみだなぁ。

この大会の一番エキサイティングなのは、たくさんの伝説的なレスラーが登場することです。獣神サンダーライガー、スペル・クレイジー、グレート・ムタ、ブルーノ・サンマルチノ、ニック・ボックウィンクル、ココ・B・ウェア、DDP、ロードウォリアーズのアニマル、デモリッション、そして私が一番会うのを楽しみにしている人、スタン'ザ・ラリアット'ハンセンです！これはすばらしいイベントになるでしょう。

その後2週間にわたってフィラデルフィアとニューヨーク・シティでROHの大会に出場します。ニューヨーク・シティはプロレスをする上で一番のお気に入りの街のひとつです。会場はマンハッタンセンターで、世界的に有名なマジソンスクエアーガーデンのすくそばです。

Hello friends! Yes I am back in the US, but as I said, I will　periodically update this blog, even from the US. You have all been so　appreciative and supportive that it is the least I can do.

As I look back on the most recent tour, I feel that it was a great　success.　Sometimes, in wrestling, victories aren't the most important outcome. We lost the Tag League but we achieved many victories throughout the tour. We impressed, even in defeat and I think our biggest victory was winning the favor of the fans. Those that have seen the Kings of Wrestling perform now know how hard we work and what we are capable of. We can only get better from here.

My flight home was easy and now I am back on a good schedule and　routine in the US. When you travel frequently it is very difficult to　maintain a regular diet of healthy food and a balance of working out　in the gym and staying active. Once I get home I have to work even　harder! Fortunately, because I have been traveling the world for 10　years now, I no longer suffer from Jet Lag. Sure, I am exhausted when I return home, but all I need is one good night of rest to get back on track. I am very lucky!

This weekend is HUGE for me and American Wrestling. There is a large convention in Los Angeles and both of my home promotions, Ring of Honor (ROH) and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) will be holding events.　The first night I am in an 8-man tag team match at the ROH event. I team with Claudio, Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards (NOAH) to face the team of the Briscoe Brothers (NOAH) and the Young Bucks (TNA & Dragon Gate). The next night I wrestle for PWG in a 3 way dance against Roderick Strong (NOAH) and former WWE Superstar, Rob Van Dam! How exciting.

What is really exciting about this event is that the Convention will　feature many wrestling legends. Legends such as Jushin Liger, Super　Crazy, the Great Muta, Bruno Sammartino, Nick Bockwinkel, Koko B.　Ware, DDP, Road Warrior Animal, Demolition and the man that I am　looking most to meeting, Stan "The Lariat" Hansen! This should be
excellent.

The next two weeks I will be performing for ROH in Philadelphia and New York City. NYC is one of my favorite places to perform. The venue is the Manhattan Center and is less than a block from the world famous Madison Square Garden.

ツアー最終日

今、成田エアポートレストハウスで無料のワイヤレスを使いながら今回のツアーを振り返っています。たくさんこのブログに書きとめることがあるから、早速はじめます！

まず、水戸ではタッグリーグの最終試合で、高山・佐野組と闘いました。水戸は私にとって特別な場所です。なぜなら、あそこでバイソン・スミスと組んで田上、三沢さん組と闘ったからです。NOAHでの初めてのメインイベントだったので、とても緊張しました。結局田上選手のダイナミックボムで私が負けてしまったけれど、三沢さんとエルボーのやり取りができたのはとても光栄に思います。そのようなわけで、水戸はいつまでも忘れられない場所なのです。

今回、クラウディオと私には作戦がありました。高山選手をなるべくリングの外に追いやって、ローリングソバットができないように佐野選手の足を攻撃するというわけです。この作戦はしばらくの間効果がありました。高山選手がいったんリングに入ってきたらチョップやエルボーで倒すことができなかったので、場外へのムーンサルト風のプランチャで攻撃しなければなりませんでした。それから高山選手をローリングエルボーでノックアウト寸前まで追い詰めました。クラウディオは片足式のジャイアントスイングを佐野選手にかけ、そのままハーフボストンクラブにもっていきました。残念ながら佐野選手をロープに逃がしてしまいました。数々のキックとノーザンライトボムが佐野選手に勝利をもたらしました。試合後、高山・佐野両選手は手を貸してくれて我々の両手を挙げて称えてくれました。クラウディオと私はタッグリーグで1点も獲得することができなくて、くやしく残念に思います。でも、このタッグリーグの闘いがどれだけ厳しいものであるか分かっています。よく言われるように、「誰にも負けはない。負けは単に学びの機会だから。」ということです。

翌日、クラウディオは早起きしてトレーニングに行き、私は昼まで寝ていました。ホテルのビュッフェをキース、バイソンといったガイジンチームの仲間と楽しみました。話をしたり、リラックスしたり、この2週間半を振り返るいい機会でした。NOAHは私たちを厚くもてなしてくれました。我々全員、日本にすぐ戻ってこられることを願っています！

クラウディオと私は原宿に行き、ROHの仲間のレスラーであるケニーオメガと会いました。彼はDDTのツアーのために日本にいます。彼にはJersey All Proというアメリカの団体で初めて会い、その後ROHでもっと親しくなりました。彼は非常に機知に富んだ才能あるレスラーです。3人でぶらぶらお店を回りながら会話を楽しみました。こうして世界中のいろんな所で友人に会うのはとても不思議な感じがします。プロレスは自分にとって本当にすばらしいものです。こんなに愛するものを自分の職業にできるなんて信じられないくらいです。

後楽園ホール大会の前はちょっと気分が落ち着きませんでした。もしかしたら、いろいろなことが頭の中を巡っていたのかも。でも、後楽園ホールに着いたら、気持ちが高ぶってきて試合への準備ができました。キース、バイソン、クラウディオ、私組は特別に強いチームだと思います。力があり、スピードもあり、上背と体重もあります。平柳はかわいそうに！私たちは試合中彼を破壊しました。試合のすごい写真がこちらで見られます。クラウディオと私がKRS-１でチームの勝利に貢献しました。

メインイベントの後、優勝セレモニーのためにリングに向かいました。高山・佐野選手がトロフィーの横に並んでいるとき、クラウディオと私は自分たちの名前が呼ばれたのが聞こえました。これにはびっくりした。しかも「リングに上がってくれ」といっています。技能賞とその表彰盾を授与するためだったのでした。体が固まってしまった！盾を高く持ち上げたら、盾の上に王冠がついているのに気づきました。王冠と、Kings of Wrestling、私たちにぴったりだ！大変光栄に思います。タッグリーグでは点数を上げることができなかったけれど、努力が報われました。

会場を去るファンに会うためにノアの売店に向かいました。本当にたくさんの私たちのグッズが売れてびっくりしました。写真を撮ったり、サインをしたり、ファンからお褒めの言葉をいただきました。後楽園の入り口のスペースは結構狭いうえ、人が大勢います。でも、ファンは辛抱強く待ってくれて、クラウディオと私と話すために残ってくれました。すべてにおいてとてもいい機会でした。なんとすばらしいツアーの終わり方だろう！

このブログでの今回のツアーの報告はこれにて終了となりますが、アメリカに戻ってもこのブログの更新は続けます。頻度はもちろん減ると思いますが、何か書くことがあればいつでもユウジンさんが翻訳してくれます。みんなの応援を感謝いたします。今回ファンにもっと近づくことができたということを、観客の反応が証明してくれました。このブログがその手助けになったと思います。今後も日本語の勉強を続けて、また近々日本に戻って来たいです！クリス・ヒーローとクラウディオ・カスタニョーリ、The Kings of Wrestlingはいつも日本が故郷だと思っています。それでは。ドウモアリガトウゴザイマス。ジャアマタネ！

I'm sitting in the Narita Rest House right now using the free Wireless connection and reflecting on my tour. I have a bit to catch up with on my blog so I better get started!

We traveled to Mito to wrestle our final Tag League match against Takayama and Sano. Mito is a special city for me. It was there where
I teamed with Bison Smith versus Taue and Misawa-san. I was very
nervous and it was my first NOAH main event. In the end, Taue pinned me with a Dynamic Bomb but to be across the ring from Misawa, trading elbows was an honor. I will always remember Mito for this.

This time Claudio and I had a strategy. We kept Takayama out of the ring as much as possible and damaged Sano's leg in order to weaken his rolling kicks. It worked for a little while. Once Takayama was in, I was unable to take him down with chops and elbow, so I had to use my Spaceman Moonsault Press. I then almost knocked him out with a hard rolling elbow. Claudio used a one leg Giant Swing on Sano into a half Boston Crab. Sano got to the ropes, unfortunately. It was a series of kicks and a Northern Lights Bomb that got Sano the victory.
Afterwards, both Takayama and Sano helped us up and raised our hands as a show of respect. Claudio and I were frustrated and disappointed to not gain any points in the tag league but we understand how tough our competition was. Our saying goes, we never lose because to us, a loss is simply a learning experience.

The next day Claudio woke up very early to work out and I slept in until lunch. We enjoyed the Hotel Buffet along with Keith and Bison (TEAM GAIJIN). It was nice to chat, relax and reflect on the last two and a half weeks. NOAH has treated us very well and we are all hoping to come back soon!

Claudio and I went to Harajuku and met up with fellow Ring of Honor wrestler Kenny Omega. He is over on tour for DDT. I met him at Jersey All Pro and got to know him better once he started with ROH.
He is a very innovative and talented wrestler. The three of us wandered around the local shops and enjoyed conversation. It is very surreal to me when I meet friends all the way across the world.
Wrestling has been so good to me. It is hard to believe that I can do what I love as my career.

I was a bit restless the night before the Korakuen show. Maybe there was a lot on my mind. Once I got to the Hall, I was excited and ready for the match. I think the team of Keith, Bison, Claudio and myself is practically unbeatable. We have strength, speed, heard and size. Poor Hirayanagi! We destroyed him throughout the course of the match. There are some very impressive photos. Claudio and I picked up the win for our team with the KRS-1.

After the main event, we went to the ring for the final ceremony.
While Takayama and Sano were standing with the trophies, Claudio and I heard our names. This surprised us. Especially when they told us to enter the ring. It turns out that we were awarded a large plaque for the Ginou Sho or Best Technique. We were stunned! We held the plaques in the air and noticed that they have large crowns on them. How fitting! Crowns for the Kings of Wrestling. It was an honor.
Although we did not gain any points this Tag League, our efforts were rewarded.

We made our way to the NOAH shop to greet fans on their way our and we were overwhelmed with many, many purchases of our merchandise. We took pictures, signed autographs and received many compliments. In the Korakuen hallway, there is not much room and there were many people. The fans were patient and stayed to chat with Claudio and myself. All in all a great experience. What a fantastic way to end the tour!

This brings my tour blog to a close, however, I will continue to update this blog while I am in the US. Not as frequently, of course, but when there is something worth noting, Yujin-san will be more than happy to translate for me. I want to thank everyone for their support. The crowd reactions prove that I have been able to connect with my fans. I attribute this blog with helping me do this. In the future I will continue to study Japanese and I hope to come back soon!

セムの試合とオフ

プロレスリング・セムの大会はとても楽しかった。クラウディオと私はメインイベントで田上社長と組ませていただき、森嶋・杉浦・平柳組と対戦しました。一番びっくりしたのはレフリーが高山選手だったということ。平柳は試合中、高山さんを敵にまわした。平柳にとっては良くないけど、私たちにはいいことだ。この試合で、クラウディオはセカンドロープからのブレインバスターを初公開した。すばらしい技だ。私は宇宙人ケブラーダで森嶋を攻撃した。高山さんと田上さんはダブルのビックブーツを平柳に当て、すぐにクラウディオがKRS-1で仕留め試合を決めた。試合後「同じロングヘアー同士一緒に組もう」と高山がいうので、私は田上社長に「頭を剃ってクラウディオと組むべきだ」いった。高山・ヒーロー組vs.田上・クラウディオ。面白い試合になるんじゃないかな！

試合の後、クラウディオと私はNOAHのファンクラブのメンバーのためのちょっとしたイベントに参加しました。順番に違ったテーブルを回って、ファンとおしゃべりしました。いつものリング上とは違った視点でファンと交流できてよかったし、英語と日本語を混ぜて話をするのも楽しかった。ファンのみんなはとても理解が深い。プロレスは厳しい世界だけど、こんなにたくさんの人たちが応援してくれて、成功を願ってくれているんだと分かると晴れやかな気持ちがします。

昨日は友達のヒデヒコとエリコが、クラウディオと私を麻布十番の武藤選手のレストランに連れて行ってくれました。すき焼きを食べました。おいしかった！その後、ルチャのマスクショップ、カカオ（覆面屋工房）に行きました。面白い写真をいっぱい撮ったので、近々ここに載せます。ショップも私たちの写真を撮ってブログに載せてくれました。こちらです。

帰りの電車で、二人の女性のファンが私たちを見つけました。サインをしたら、その若い女性がこのブログを見てくれているといっていました！うれしいなぁ。ブログの翻訳を一生懸命してくれている友達、ユウジンに感謝します。このブログは大成功でした。日本での滞在の報告をこのブログで続けていきます。

その後アメリカの友達におみやげを買ってホテルに戻りました。友人のストーン・コールドがノアの外人チーム（我々Kings of Wrestlingとバイソン、キース）をディナーに誘ってくれました。田上社長のファミリーのレストランで食べました。すばらしい料理だった！ちゃんこ鍋、お好み焼き、そして、鴨のスープ。すべてがおいしかった。ツアーを仲間の外人レスラーたちで振り返ることができてよかったです。日本での滞在をとても楽しんでいます。そして、自分の本当に好きなことができてとても幸運です。

次の試合は高山と佐野への大きな挑戦です。高山の膝蹴りはものすごいし、佐野のローリングソバットは破壊力抜群です。クラウディオと私は全力で挑みます！試合がものすごく楽しみです。

The Pro Wrestling SEM show was very fun. Claudio and I had the privilege of teaming with Taue in the main event against Morishima, Sugiura and Hirayanagi. The biggest surprise, though, was that our referee was Takayama. Hirayanagi antagonized Takayama-san throughout the match. Bad for him. Good for us. During the match, Claudio debuted his new Vertical Superplex from the 2nd rope. Very impressive. I was able to hit Morishima with my Spaceman Moonsault Press. Takayama-san and Taue combined for a double boot on Hirayanagi and soon Claudio his Genba with the KRS-1 to win the match. After the match, Takayama suggested that he and I team because of our long hair and then I suggested that Taue should shave his head to team with Claudio. Imagine Hero & Takayama v. Taue and Claudio. It would be an awesome match!

After the match, Claudio and myself attended a bit of a fan fest for members of what I think is the NOAH fan club. We took turns sitting at different tables and chatted with the fans. It was nice to get different perspectives and I enjoy speaking in a mix of English and Japanese. All of the fans were very appreciative. Wrestling is very tough but it is refreshing to find that so many people support us and want us to succeed.

Yesterday, my friends Hidehiko & Erico took Claudio and myself Azabu Juban to eat at Mutoh's restaurant. We had sukiyaki. Delicious!　After, we went to the Cacao lucha mask shop. We took many funny pictures. I will upload soon. They put a picture of us on their blog.

On the train ride home, we were actually recognized by two young female fans. We signed autographs and the young lady said she has seen my blog! How exciting. I would like to thank my friend Yujin for all of his hard work. I consider this blog a great success. I will do my best to continue to update with my Japanese travels.

Afterwards, I bought some gitfs for friends back in the US and we went back to the hotel. Our other friend Stone Cold took TEAM GAIJIN (Kings of Wrestling and Bison/Keith) out to dinner. We ate at Taue's family's restaurant. Wonderful food! Chankonabe, okonomiyaki, duck soup. Everything was great. It was nice to be able to reflect on the tour with my fellow gaijin. We enjoy spending time in Japan and are very fortunate to be able to do what we love.

Our next match is a tough challenge against Takayama and Sano.
Takayama's knee strike is deadly and Sano's rolling thrust kicks are deverstating. Claudio and I will have to do our best! I am excited for this match.

横浜大会2日目とミラノコレクションA.T.選手の引退について

ああ、言葉にならない。。。

健介・森嶋組と闘ってから1日経ちました。昨日何も書かなかったのは、あの試合をどう言葉にしていいのか分からなかったからです。すごく激しい試合だった。何度か勝てそうな感じもした。健介をKOギリギリまで追いこんだ場面もあった。クラウディオも森嶋からピンを取りかけた。でも、試合が終わってみれば、健介がラリアットとノーザンライトボムでクラウディオを倒したのだった。すごく感傷的になる試合だった。横浜のファンは僕たちの強力な味方になってくれて、みんな我がKOWが金星を奪取するのを期待しているのが分かりました。クラウディオと私はものすごい連携技を使いました。私は生涯初のひねり付きのムーンサルトプレスでリング下の森嶋に飛び込みました。クラウディオは必殺技UFO (Unidentified Flying Opponet 未確認飛行外敵)で、森嶋を空中で手ぶらで回転させることに成功しました。負けてしまったけど、全力を尽くしたから、自分の努力を誇りに思えます。この時点で、グローバルタッグの優勝は不可能になったけど、高山・佐野戦で自分たちのさらなる力を証明できます。高山選手とは去年広島でシングルで対戦しました。また対戦できて光栄です。（映像：クリス・ヒーロー　vs.　高山善廣、2009年6月13日、広島グリーンアリーナ(Part I, Part II)）佐野選手とは去年の11月に対戦しました。小橋・佐野組対バイソン・スミス・私組でした。小橋選手とは初対戦でした。

明日はセムの興行です。私とクラウディオは田上明選手と組んで、平柳・森嶋・杉浦組と対戦します。すばらしい試合になるでしょう！明日、選手たちはホテルからディファ有明までノアの専用バスで優雅に向かいます。乗車時間たったの3分じゃん！

クラウディオといろいろなショッピングモールをぶらぶらしました。最初は横浜の会場のそばで、今日は有明の近くのヴィーナス・フォートに行きました。いろいろな国のいろいろなものをこうして歩きながら見られるのはすばらしいことだと思う。こういう機会に恵まれて幸せです。

ミラノコレクションA.T.選手の引退について聞いてとても残念に思います。2005年と2006年にミラノと私は、リング外では友達に、そしてリングの中ではライバルとなりました。彼はアメリカ流のプロレスを学ぶために向こうに渡り、現地で人気を博しました。ミラノとはアメリカのプロレス団体、CHIKARAとIWAミッドサウスで何度も対戦しました。私たちは二人は、伝説のルチャドーラであるスケード（本名・ホーヘー・リベラ）のトレーニングを受けました。リング内で面白いスタイルのプロレスができるようにするためのトレーニングです。ミラノさんは心の広いナイスガイです。彼がもうプロレスをできなくなってしまったというのことはものすごく悲しいです。彼の今後の成功を祈ります。友よ、すばらしい時間をありがとう。またぜひ会おう。

Wow. What can I say?

It's been over a day since our match with Kensuke and Morishima. I held off on writing because I wasn't sure what to say last night. It was a hard match. There were several moments when it felt like we would win. I came so close to knocking Kensuke out. Claudio came so close to pinning Morishima. When the match was finished, it was Kensuke who pinned Claudio after a Lariat and a Northern Lights Bomb.

A very emotional match for us. The crowd in Yokohama was strongly behind us and I could feel that they were sensing an upset victory by the Kings of Wrestling. Claudio and I used some spectacular tg team maneuvers. I dove out of the ring onto Morishima with a twisting Moonsault Press for the first time in my career. Claudio managed to spin Morishima in the air, hands-free, with his UFO (Unidentified Flying Opponent). We tried our best and even though we lost, I think we can be proud of our effort. Now we will not score enough points to win the Global Tag League but we can prove ourselves further against Takayama and Sano. I had a singles match with Takayama last year in Hiroshima (part 1, part 2) and it will be an honor to match up with him again. I wrestled Sano last November. It was Kobashi and Sano versus myself and Bison Smith, my first time wrestling Kobashi.

Tomorrow is Pro-Wrestling SEM. Myself and Claudio will team with Akira Taue versus Hirayanagi, Morishima and Sugiura. Should be an excellent match! We also have the luxury of riding the NOAH bus from our Hotel to Differ. It's a 3 minute drive I think!

Claudio and I have spent some time wandering around various shopping malls. First was in Yokohama across from the venue and today we went to Venus Fort near Ariake. It's great being able to walk around and see different things in different countries. I am fortunate for that opportunity.

I want to say that I am very sorry to hear about the retirement of Milano Collection AT. In 2005 and 2006, Milano and myself became friends outside of the ring and rivals inside the ring. He was spending time in the US to learn the American way of wrestling and he made quite a reputation for himself. He and I wrestled several times for CHIKARA and IWA Mid South. Both Milano and I have trained with legendary Lucha Libre Maestro Skayde (real name Jorge Rivera) so that helped outr in-ring styles produce entertaining matches. Milano-san was a nice guy with a big heart. I am incredibly sad that he can no longer wrestle. I wish him the best of luck. Thank you for all the good times, friend. Hope to see you soon.

クリス・ヒーローとエディ・エドワーズ、日本のソフトドリンク対決（2009年末）

表参道のレストランで、酢の入ったソフトドリンク「グレープフルーツ・ビネガー＆ミルク」と「タバスココーラ」を注文した二人。クリスは酢ミルク、エディはタバスココーラを選ぶ。恐る恐る飲んでみる両人。しかし、クリスは「カルピスみたいな味じゃん」と余裕の表情。両者ドリンクを交換して試飲。酢ミルクの方がおいしいという結論に至る。リッキー・マルビンも両方トライし、どちらも気に入った模様。クリスはレスラーの意地を見せるべく、なんと酢ミルクとタバスココーラを混ぜて一気飲み！あまりのまずさに思わず顔をしかめる。（笑）

横浜大会1日目

昨日、一昨日と二日間のいいオフでした。クラウディオと私はジムでトレーニングするためにディファ有明に行きました。ディファにはKENTAがいて、怪我から回復するため激しいトレーニングをしてました。KENTAに会えてよかった。彼とはアメリカの団体ROHで何度も闘ったんだ。去年もフィラデルフィアで激しいシングルマッチで闘ったよ。その試合は去年の私にとって最高の試合のひとつだった。

クリス・ヒーロー　vs.　KENTA、2009年10月12日ROHフィラデルフィア大会メインイベント　(Part I, Part II)

KENTAと私はいい意味でのライバル関係を築いたので、彼が復帰したらまた闘うのを楽しみにしています。日本のレスラーの練習量にはいつも驚かされる。道場では毎日小橋さんを見かけます。小橋さんは何時間もそこにいて、大量の汗をかきながらトレーニングしているんだ。井上雅央選手も怪我の回復のために一生懸命になっている。彼が復帰するときは怪我をしたときよりいい状態で戻ってくるでしょう。NOHAは非常に優秀なトレーナーに恵まれています。浅子さんは全日本とノアで選手として活躍し、引退後トレーナーになりました。浅子さんがいてノアの選手は幸運です。

オフの二日目は他の外人（キースとバイソン）でお台場のアクアシティに行って、Cantina ZESTで食事をしました。おいしかった。

今日はクラウディオと私はリッキー・マルビンと組んで、健介、森嶋、丸藤組と闘いました。試合の初めで彼らをうまく捕まえて、二人がかり、三人がかりのさまざまな合体技で翻弄することができた。でも残念ながら、丸藤みたいなすばやいレスラーや、健介や森嶋のような頑強なレスラーを前にすると試合をずっと優勢に進めるのはなかなか難しい。佐々木さんのチョップで私の胸はまたも出血してしまった。クラウディオはパワーでお客さんの声援を集めました。彼は森嶋をジャイアントスイングで回したんだ。私はそれにドロップキックを加えました。それからクラウディオは森嶋を頭の上に持ち上げて、私がエルボーを加えました。私のエルボーは日に日に強さを増しているのが自分で感じられます。チョップもより強力にしようと努力してます。今日は森嶋と丸藤を激しいチョップで攻撃しました。明日はグローバルタッグリーグの公式戦で自分のすべてを健介にぶつけるつもりでいます。勝つためには私が健介を引きずりおろして、クラウディオが森嶋を倒さないといけない。我々の得意技KRS-1をかけるには森嶋は大きすぎるかもしれないけど、私たちには他にも本当にたくさんの勝利につながる技があるんだ。

Yokohama Day #1 Our two days off were nice. Claudio and I were able to go to Differ and use the gym to work out. We saw KENTA. He was working hard to rehabilitate his injury. It was nice to see him. He has wrestled many times in the US for Ring of Honor. Last year, he and I had a tough singles match in Philadelphia. It was one of my best matches of the year. You can watch by visiting this link.

KENTA and I have developed friendly rivalry so once he returns to the ring I look forward to having more matches with him. It always amazes me how hard the Japanese wrestlers work. At the dojo, I would see Kobashi-san working out every day. He would be there for hours, working out hard and sweating profusely. Also, Masao Inoue has been trying his best to recover from his injury. When he makes his return, I know he will be in better shape than when he got injured. NOAH is blessed to have a very capable trainer. Asako-san used to wrestle for All Japan and NOAH, but when his career ended, he became the trainer. The NOAH wrestlers are lucky to have him.

On the other day off, myself and the other gaijin (Keith & Bison) went to Aqua City/Odaiba and ate at Cantina ZEST. Good food.

Today, Claudio and myself teamed with Ricky Marvin against Kensuke, Morishima and Marufuji. We caught them offguard early in the match and were able to overwhelm them with many double and triple team maneuvers. Unfortunately though, when you are in the ring with a wrestler as quick as Marufuji or as strong as Kensuke & Morishima, you never retain the advantage for long. My chest was bleeding again after several chops from Sasaki-san. Claudio won over the crowd with his power. He spun Morishima around the ring with a Giant Swing and I combined for a dropkick combination. He also lifted him over his head and I connected with an Elbow. I can feel my Elbow attacks getting stronger. I am also working to improve my chops. Tonight I hit both Morishima and Marufuji with very hard chops. Tomorrow, in our Global Tag League contest, I plan on giving Kensuke everything I have. If we are to win, I need to take down Kensuke and Claudio needs to take out Morishima. Morishima may be too big to execute the KRS-1, but we have many, many maneuvers that we can win matches with.

Claudio has learned how to write his name in Katakana! If you see him at a show. Ask for him to sign his name for you! He is a very well traveled and well cultured person. He can speak Swiss German, English, Spanish, French and he, too, is working on his Japanese.

今日の栃木は激しい試合でした。グローバルタッグリーグの初戦を斎藤彰俊・潮崎豪組に持っていかれてしまった。クラウディオがジャーマンスープレックスと強いラリアットをやられた時は私が介入してフォールを阻止できたけど、潮崎がすぐさまショートレンジのラリアットとゴーフラッシャーを私にかけました。クラウディオはもう一回だけ攻撃を跳ね返したけど、斎藤のスイクルデスで意識を失ってしまった。非常に強烈な攻撃でした。

うん、負けはすごく残念。でも、斎藤や潮崎のようなすごいレスラーに負けたことはちっとも恥ずかしいと思いません。もっとたくさん練習して、次回はもっと努力をしないと、ということです。ところで、11年間プロレスをやってきて、1000試合、のべ500人ほどの相手と試合をしてきました。そのすべての中で、潮崎は一番強烈なチョップをします。前回のツアーで小橋さんと闘わせていただきました。小橋さんのチョップはものすごかったけど、潮崎はもっと若い上に今レスラーとして絶頂に近づきつつあると思います。豪以外のレスラーと闘ってこんなに割れるような痛みを胸に受けたことはなかった。豪のチョップはKENTAのキックに匹敵するよ。

今日から2日間休みがあるので、体力を回復できます。次の大会は横浜です。クラウディオと私は、お気に入りのメキシカン（＝リッキー・マルビン）と組んで、丸藤、健介、森嶋組と6人タッグで対決します。丸藤は好きな対戦相手だなぁ。彼は今まで会った中でもっとも頭のいいレスラーの一人です。彼はいつも新しい技や戦法を考え出します。丸藤と戦うときは、彼が何をしようとしているのか注意深く見ないとだめです。この6人タッグは健介・森嶋組への攻略を探る上いい機会です。彼らとは翌日の大会で、タッグリーグの公式戦として対決します。森嶋は思いのほか動きが早いし、健介は豪腕の持ち主です。ラリアットに注意せねば！クラウディオは腕力とヨーロッパ式のアッパーカットを使っていきます。私は得意のトリッキーな動きとエルボーを使って、KRS-1を仕掛ける方法を探ります。

みんな、優しい言葉とコメント、それに大会でのプレゼントをありがとう。ガンバッテで突き進みます！

Tonight in Tochigi was a very hard match. Claudio and I lost our first Global Tag League match to the team of Akitoshi Saito & Go Shiozaki. I broke up the pin attempt on Claudio after a German Suplex, Strong Lariat combination but Shiozaki soon hit me with a short range Lariat and the Go Flasher. Claudio was able to kick out of another move but Saito's Sickle of Death enzuigiri knocked him unconscious. Very strong move.

Yes, we are both very disappointed with our loss. However, losing to two wrestlers as good as Saito & Shiozaki is nothing to be ashamed of.
It just means we have to work harder and put in a stronger effort next time. As a side note, I have been wrestling over 11 years, I have had over 1,000 matches and probably 500 opponents. Out of all of them Shiozaki has the most powerful chop. I had the fortune of wrestling Kobashi-san last tour and while his chops were vicious, Shiozaki is younger and close to reaching his prime. I have never felt such a strong crack against my chest as when I am in the ring with Go. Go's chops rival the chest kicks of KENTA.

We have 2 days off which will give us time to recover. Our next show is in Yokohama and we will be in a 6-man tag with our favorite Mexican (Ricky Marvin) against Marufuji, Kensuke & Morishima. Marufuji is one of my favorite opponents. He is one of the smartest wrestlers I have ever met. He is always creating new techniques and strategies. When you wrestle him, you have to pay close attention because you never know what he has in mind. The 6-man tag will be good for Claudio and myself to develop a strategy against Kensuke & Morishima. We will wrestle them the next night in our Tag League Block. Morishima is deceptively quick and Kensuke has very strong arms. We have to watch out for Lariats! Claudio will use his strength and European Uppercuts. I will use my tricky maneuvers and Elbows and together we will find a way to execute the KRS-1.

KOWまた勝利！

京都から東京への車での移動は長いです。すごく疲れているので、短めにします。今日の試合は8人タッグでした。私、クラウディオ、バイソン・スミス、キース・ウォーカー　vs.　ヨネ、力皇、玄藩、金丸でした。金丸と初めて対戦したのは2006年、イギリスの1PWという団体でした。金丸はすばらしいジュニアの選手です。ヨネと私の対決はいつも激しくなります。今日の試合、玄藩はバイソンとキースを敵に回しました。おいおい！クラウディオと私がKRS-1を玄藩にかけてまた1勝しました。この勝ちを栃木につなげて斎藤と潮崎を倒しにいきたいです。我がThe Kings of Wrestlingは全力を尽くします。

そういえば、名古屋のメインイベントは真壁＆本間　vs.　杉浦＆谷口でした。非常に激しい試合だった。谷口と杉浦は激しく流血しました。特に谷口はすばらしいファイティングスピリットを見せました。NOAHのチームにとって貴重な勝利だった。今回は生でたくさんすごい試合が見られるのでノアにとってエキサイティングなツアーです。去年のKENTA＆潮崎　vs.　中嶋＆健介を思い出すなぁ。すごい試合で鳥肌が立ったよ。

読者の方からの質問にお答えしますと、ノアの道場に泊まった時、納豆を食べました。普通だったけど、好物とはいえないなぁ。有明に滞在するときはいなり寿司と、あと時々マクドナルドのシャカシャカチキンを食べます。でも、日本にいるときはマクドナルドとかKFCとかデニーズみたいに、アメリカでも行けるような所では頻繁に食べないな。旅行をこんなにすることのいいところって、異国の食べ物や文化を体験できることだもんね。プロレスラーになってから11年を超えたけど、15カ国で闘ってきました。プロレスは僕の愛するものだからすごくハッピーだよ。

The drive from Kyoto to Tokyo is long. I am very tired so this will　not be too long. Today was 8-man tag match. Myself, Claudio, Bison　Smith, Keith Walker vs. Yone, Rikioh, Genba & Kanemaru. I first　wrestled Kanemaru in England for 1PW in 2006. He is a great Jr.　Heavyweight and I think my matches with Yone are always intense. In　the match, Genba picked on Bison and Keith. Not smart! Claudio and I　hit the KRS-1 on Hirayanagi and won another match. We look forward to　continuing our momentum into Tochigi against Saito and Shiozaki. The　Kings of Wrestling will fight hard.

This reminds me, the main event from Nagoya was Makabe and Honma vs.　Sugiura and Taniguchi. The match was very intense. Both Taniguchi　and Sugiura were bleeding profusely. Taniguchi, especially, showed　great fighting spirit. It was a big victory for the NOAH team. It is　exciting to tour for NOAH because you can see so many great matches　live. I remember KENTA & Shiozaki v. Nakajima & Kensuke from last
June. A great match that gave me goose bumps.

To answer a question, yes, when I stayed at the NOAH dojo I tried　natto. It was okay but not my favorite. When I stay in Ariake I　enjoy inarizushi and sometimes a shaka chicken from McDonald's. When　I am in Japan, though, I do not regularly go to places that I can in　the US (McDonald's, KFC, Denny's). A great part about being able to　travel so much is all the different food and cultures I am able to　experience. I have wrestled now over 11 years and have competed in 15　countries. Wrestling is my love so I am very happy.

我がThe Kings of Wrestlingにとって今日の名古屋はいい夜だった。クラウディオと私は小川良成と志賀賢太郎のタッグに勝ちました。さまざまな合体技をすることができた。これは勝つためのキーだと思っています。小川をリングの外に追いやって、クラウディオと一緒に必殺技、KRS-1をやることができた。私に言わせれば、KRS-1はもっとも効果的な合体技なんです。相手を二人の間で持ち上げたうえで、身長と力を使ってダブルのパワーボムの形でひっくり返して叩きつけるんだ。相手は2倍の力でマットに当たるし、ひっくり返すスピードに惑わされる。今のところ誰もKRS-１を返せた者はいない。だから、グローバルタッグリーグでこの技を使えば私たちは優勝できるはずです。

名古屋に行く途中、高速のサービスエリアでお気に入りのカツカレーを食べたよ。2004年に大日本プロレスに参加するために日本に来て以来、サービスエリアではカツカレーばっかり食べてます。ちょっとした習慣になっているかも。今日の興行の後はクラウディオとリッキー・マルビンでうまいケバブを食べました。私はいろんな種類の食べ物が好きです。日本のファンは、私が寿司だとか、お好み焼きだとか、ちゃんこだとか、ユッケだとか、焼肉だとか、しゃぶしゃぶだとかが好きだというとみんなびっくりするみたい。でも、私はほとんどなんでも食べてみるんです。たいてい気に入って、その後また同じものを食べるんだ。

私はノアの興行ではよく売店にいます。自分のTシャツを売っていて、ファンと写真を撮ったりサインしたりします。今日もまた名古屋でたくさんのファンが来て、話しかけてくれました。もし私を見かけて、話しかけたくなったら、ぜひ話しかけてね。僕も日本語の勉強中だから、英語ができなくても心配しないで！

Tonight was a successful night in Nagoya for the Kings of Wrestling.　Claudio and myself defeated the team of Yoshinari Ogawa and Kentaro　Shiga. We were able to execute many of our double team maneuvers,　which I think was key in us picking up the victory. I had Ogawa　trapped outside the ring and I was then able to join Claudio in the　ring so that we could hit our finishing move, the KRS-1. In my　opinion, the KRS-1 is the most effective move in all tag team　wrestling. We lift the opponent between ourselves and, using our　height and strength, flip the opponent into a double power bomb. The　opponent crashes into the mat with double the impact and is　disoriented by the speed at which we flip him. No one have ever　kicked out of the KRS-1, so if we are able to execute the move in the　Global Tag League, we will pick up the victory.

On the way to Nagoya, we stopped at a rest plaza and I enjoyed my　usual rest stop meal of "katsu kare." Ever since my first tour of　Japan in 2004 for BJW, I have been eating katsu kare at the rest　stops. Maybe it's a small tradition I have. Tonight after the show,　Claudio, myself and Ricky Marvin enjoyed a delicious kebab. I enjoy　many kinds of food. Many Japanese fans are surprised when I say I　enjoy sushi, okonomiyaki, chanko, yukke, yakiniku, shabu shabu. I　will try almost anything. Often times, I like what I try and will　enjoy it again.

At most of the NOAH shows, you can find me at the merchandise table.　I have Chris Hero shirts for sale and I do not mind taking pictures or　signing autographs. Once again, tonight in Nagoya, many fans have　come to me and said hello. If you see me and would like to speak, do　not be afraid. I am practicing my Japanese, so if you do not speak　English, it is okay!

Tomorrow, we go to Kyoto. It's a very beautiful city. Inside the　arena, I am always impressed with how the stained glass looks.　Wonderful! After Kyoto, it is back to Ariake. Thank you for all the　comments. Keep them coming! Arigatou gozaimasu.

我がThe Kings of Wrestlingのパートナー、クラウディオ・カスタニョーリ、おめでとう。彼は今晩石森太二に勝ちました。日本のファンはカスタニョーリの強さにびっくりしたみたいだったね。今回は彼にとっての3度目のノアのツアーでした。彼がノアのレギュラーになるといいな。クラウディオは今まで一緒にリングに上がった中で最高のレスラーの一人だと思っています。彼が必要としているのは実力を発揮できる機会だけです。

Congratulations to my partner in the Kings of Wrestling, Claudio Castagnoli, for his victory tonight against Taiji Ishimori. I think the Japanese fans were very surprised at how strong Claudio is. This is his 3rd tour of NOAH and I hope he will become a regular. In my opinion, he is one of the best wrestlers I have ever been in the ring with. He just needs the opportunity to show it.

I lost my match to Sugiura after a knee strike and an Olympic Slam.
There is a good reason that he is the GHC Heavyweight Champion and after tonight I now understand how difficult it will be to defeat him.
I was ringside for his title victory over Go Shiozaki and it was an incredible match. It is amazing to watch such high quality wrestling from so close. I may have lost tonight but I was able to catch Sugi-san offguard with my tricky offense. I know, at one point, after a rolling elbow and my Death Blow, he was VERY close to being knocked unconscious. I saw his eyes roll back into his head and I thought I had won the match. Next time I will train harder and come up with more elbow variations so that I can pick up the win.

Tomorrow we head to Nagoya. My friend Macky lives there. I met him in the US in 2001 and he has supported me ever since so it will be nice to see him. He has a wrestling shop. Please go look http://page.freett.com/pw_macky/

今日、東京に着きました。世界的に有名なリベラ・ステーキハウスで、我がThe Kings of Wrestlingのパートナーであるクラウディオ・カスタニョーリとディナーを楽しみました。明日、ディファ有明でクラウディオは石森太二と闘います。私はといえば、大きな挑戦に向かいます。GHCヘビー級王者の杉浦貴と闘うのです。杉浦とは2008年にドイツのWXWのシングルマッチで闘いました。ドイツでの負けを復讐つもりでいます。杉浦に勝ったら、間違いなくGHCヘビー級のタイトルマッチの挑戦資格を得るでしょう。クラウディオと私はグローバルタッグリーグを楽しみにしています。私たちはいつも最高の闘いを求めていますから。読んでくれてありがとう！

Arrived in Tokyo today. I enjoyed a steak dinner at the world famous Ribera Steakhouse along with my partner from the Kings of Wrestling, Claudio Castagnoli. Claudio wrestles Taiji Ishimori tomorrow at Differ Ariake. I have a big challenge as I take on the GHC Heavyweight Champion, Takashi Sugiura. We had a singles match for wXw in Germany in 2008. I am now hoping to avenge my loss from Germany and when I beat Sugiura, I will, more than likely, receive a GHC Heavyweight Title shot. Claudio and I are excited for the Global Tag League as we are always looking for the best competition. Thank you for reading!
